On our small trip to town Tabor, we visited this tiny gallery/museum and we weren't dissapointed. Friendly cozy place, mainly focused on kids, with workshops, where they can selfmade chocolate.

We have spent over 4 weeks in the Czech Republic touring sites all over the country. We went to visit this museum and felt we were totally misled as to what we would see. The 1st room was a history of coca that was very simplistic and almost childish in the presentation. The remainder of the exhibits were things made out of chocolate. There wasn't anything about how items were made or any demonstrations of chocolate making. You do get 2 small pieces of chocolate with your admission. It was the worst experience of our time in the Czech Republic!

This is an easy to follow and informative museum about chocolate and marzipan and has some stunning marzipan models.
Doesn't take too long to go round but the cafe with a cup of hot chocolate at the end, maybe added to with a cake, is a final treat!

Best part was making our own Truffles & the chocolate treat at the end of the tour. A lot of displays made of chocolate and Marzipan - maybe too many to appreciate, but other displays were informative

You would seriously think that being a Marzipan museum there would be so much of the stuff!
Well they sold everything but hardly any marzipan! How disappointed was I!:(

We visited this place over the weekend and we really enjoyed it. Kids loved walking around the cellar where were devils, making their own chocolate and marzipan candies and looking at all those beautiful things made out of it. Staff was helpfull and smiling, there is also a little candy store and café in the building or place called Budík right across the street where you can have cakes or different hot chocolates and coffes. We totally recommend if you are in town with kids.

This small museum is a paradise for all chocolate and marzipan lovers. You can admire work of many people here, who makes absolutely amazing things from that material - cars, buildings, fairytales characters, fashion... It's definitely worth visiting!
There is a sweet-shop, too, so after watching so many chocolate things you can buy a tasty cake and eat it. :-)
Admission is 150,- CZK per adult.

The Museum of Chocolate and Marzipan is located in the old town of Tabor, a city in the Bohemian region of Czech Republic. Here you can learn a lot about these two types of food, taste them and enjoy especially if you come here with childs. Interesting.
