Sunset Kayak tour

What an amazing experience. The tour guide Tomas was very attentive and knowledgeable. Given us tips on how to kayak easily and safely. Picked us from our hotel and served lovely apple pie outside the castle. The whole experience was enchanting and he took some lovely photos as well. Definitely recommend this.

A night out in Vilnius, with the mead and the pigs' ears, is very difficult to turn down but set aside one evening to kayak around the silhouetted Trakai Castle, as the sun sets on the amber waters. Tomas was able to field every single question we came up with, including encyclopaedic knowledge of ethnic minorities I'd only vaguely heard of like the Karaites and Tatars. Better still, the info came with additional sensory experiences, as we stopped off for an authentic apple pie from the Jewish population.

On a practical note, if you're doing the sunset experience you'll DEFINITELY need mosquito repellent and the pier for launching and landing is sinking a bit, so waterproof shoes aren't a bad idea, if you don't want to jump back to the bank!

Bank an experience you'll never forget!

Great day hiking and awesome bit of history

Because of the lack of snow we went on a hike instead around Neris National Park and visited the ancient capital of Kernave. Our guide Tomas was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the history of the country and also flora and fauna. he also very kindly drove us back via Trakai castle so that we could get a photo before heading back. Would suggest having a big meal before you go!

Stunning scenery , a must do trip !
You have to do this trip!
Thomas the guide was awesome , so much knowledge of Lithuania history . He was able to communicate very clearly in English and made the Day fun and most definitely enjoyable.
We visited Lithuania original capital and spent 45mins around the site , walking up a couple of mounds. Thomas explained the history behind this site.
The snowshoe trek lasted 3hrs and the scenery was mind blowing. We would stop every so often and Thomas provided hot tea and cake .
I hope my photos do the trip justice.
Wrap up warm
Worth every euro

Simply amazing!

Me and my wife had a private sunset tour on the evening of our arrival in Lithuania. Despite being late because of a delayed flight, Thomas patiently waited outside the hotel and greeted us with a smile. We had about three hours on the lakes around Trakai, and got to witness a beautiful sunset. Thomas had great knowledge about the area, and told us about the history of the place as we paddled along in beautiful sorroundings. An experience I will never forget! Thank you!

I highly recommend this for anyone going to the Vilnius area!

The absolute best way to see Trakai

We had a wonderful day with of kayaking with Tomas. He was informative, patient (we aren't the best kayakers) and a really nice guy. The picnic was terrific. This really is the only way to see Trakai. Highly recommended.

The best thing you van do in Trakai!

This is the best way you can enjoy this beautiful place! Kayaking through the lakes is way better than walking around them. Guides tell a lot about the history and Lithuania itself. Picnic is in an awesome place.

We arrived late and booked a trip around 9pm for the next morning and it wasn't a problem at all.

I really recommend this attraction!

Great way to experience Trakai

My friend and I had a great time kayaking in Trakai. Our guide was professional and the equipment was great. I do a lot of kayaking and was pleases that we got to wear spray skirts in our boats. The scenery was beautiful and lunch great. I am a vegetarian and ate well.

Briliant kayaking tour!

From the moment we booked our tour with Simas, we knew we made the right decision. Tomas shared his knowledge about kayaking and Lithuanian history making everyone in the group feel at ease. There was a lot of energizing paddling but there was also time to enjoy good conversation and tasty kibinie pastries (savory and sweet). If you enjoy kayaking and being outdoors at a gorgeous setting, this trip is for you!
