The museum part is interesting with beautiful pieces of amber on display. As always in these cases there is also promotion and sales activities. Interesting especially for those who do not already know amber but in any case a pleasant visit for everyone.

We had a great time at this small shop and museum. The people were really friendly and informative. We were able to learn a lot about amber and even were given a piece to polish. The displays are well done and we just had to buy something. The prices were reasonable so we stocked up for Christmas. A fun place to visit.

This is gallery is quite small and incorporates a shop within itself but nonetheless worth a visit. A short guided tour is available for a small fee but it is possible to just look around yourself. We spent there approximately 20 minutes

There are not many things to do in Nida, thus visiting a location called a "museum" is attractive. Sadly, the physical aspect of this building was a disappointment-- it was very SMALL. TINY. The one redeeming factor was the lovely woman presenting a mini workshop (think Amber 101)--it was informative and interesting.
Most of the "museum" encompasses cases with jewelry, almost everything was for sale. The prices were quite steep. In the end, this location was much more of a shop than a museum.

Here you can learn about the history of Baltic amber, see the old workshops of amber processing, make your lucky amulet, see an impressive collection of inclusions. The Gallery also houses a small museum of flax processing, where you can see the old flax processing equipment, spinning looms and the collection of linen clothes. This Museum has accumulated a large and valuable collection of weathercocks.

This place is very good and has a variety of jewelry and suverniors. Prices are not the cheapest but I guess if you are into Amber you might pay the price. They give a good briefing of the history and info regarding amber.

I did not realize that Lithuania is top producer of amber. Everywhere you went, there was amber. After we traveled to Latvia where we saw more amber, I think Lithuania still has the most amber. We stopped at this museum but it is not really just a museum. A museum is where you will find exhibits, narratives, story and history. This museum actually sells amber. That means it is also a retail store. The place is very tiny. In fact, we went there first, only a couple of us from the group. Then when we mentioned to the rest of the group, we headed there. There was a group of Japanese tourists and the place was packed. So they asked us to come back. They have many amber things you can look or buy, not only jewelry. There was a mill or jewelry/stone polishing machine. They also educated us how to spot fake amber. Since it is tiny, you might as well stop by on your way to the other museums.

I thought this place was well set out and interesting to visit.
The proprietors are very knowledgeable and willing share that knowledge with their visitors.
It's worth calling in, particularly if you're interested in purchasing some amber jewellery.
