Fairly impressive dunes near the village of Nida. Most of the dunes is covered in grass. Beautiful for a walk. There is also artwork including the sun dial and a statue of Jean-Paul Sartre.

I travelled up to the viewing area in a tour bus, which was hair-raising to say the least! On the way back down the bus reversed the entire winding single-track lane, dodging traffic along the way. From the car park area, there were a few...More

The view was pretty impressive, a must visit in Nido. It’s also a good place for some stroll or hiking.

We have had a nice, long walk from Nida, with a stop at the sundial, through the Valley of Death and right to the Russian border (we "washed our feet" in the Curonian lagoon right next to the border fence). There are many people on...More

The place is amazing, also full of tourists. Specially on sunny day. Still worth to see. Really big Parnidis dune has wonderful view - on the left hand you can see Curonian lagoon, on the right hand - Baltic sea.

It is one of the "must see" 's in Nida. The view is spectacular-especialy when the weather isn't calm-because Curonian lagoon and Baltic sea always look different (when on nice and calm weather they look quite similar). It is a great spot to watch a...More

The narrow dune strip, Neringa is a beautiful and very accessible nature area. There are many paths and routes for walking and cycling. Especially great for kids.

Well worth the short (1 km) walk from town. Good graded paths, plus one steep flight of steps. The interpretive walk takes the visitor through three landscapes - dunes, pine forest and swamp. Fine veiws from atop the dune. Do keep to designated tracks (you'd...More

I don't recall seeing any dogs in the dunes, but neither do I recall there being any restrictions about dogs being posted. However, as I do not have a dog, I did not take much notice. I would think that due to the rather... More

Baltic (4 Replies)
Hi, I am 18 years old. I am travelling to Baltic this summer. I will arrive in Vilnius by plane on Monday, 27. 6. at 16:45 (4:45 PM) and go home from Tallinn on Thursday, 7. 7. at 18:15 (6:15 PM). That means I have 9 full days and half of first and last day. I have few questions for you. I was planning to stay in Vilnius for 2 days. That means one day and half. On third day in the morning I would go to Trakai castle. Is this enough to see Vilnius? I am not very interested in museums, but...More

2-3 days in each city can be enough, but for me I never have enough days in Riga. Please note that the 3 cities are very similar, yet Riga is the biggest. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g274…
