A very nice stop on our Curonian Spit trip. I still would have wished that I had known that there was a 30 EUR road toll for going there... On top of the 20,50 EUR ferry. But it's worth the cost :-)
The dunes are very pretty and especially seen from above in my opinion.

Nature knows how to give away impressive shows for free. The dunes of the Curonian Spit are one of them. Simply fantastic. Access from the lagoon side is easy, well equipped and very well maintained

The Parnidis dune straddles the Kaliningrad enclave and Lithuania.
Accessible especially by car (very small parking) taking you to an observation point, and paths (be sure to stay on marked paths so as not to contribute to the disappearance of the dune).
Unfortunately in bad weather, the visibility was very poor not allowing to enjoy the landscape.

The Dunes of Nida are without a doubt a spectacular place to enjoy natures formations and I easily count them among the most beautiful dunes of Europe. While it can be strenous is the hike definitely worth the effort as sights as far as Russia can be seen from the top. The place feels very foreign and is definitely not what people would asociate with Lithuania. It is a wonderous place of nature.

There Is two dunes in Nida dune. One is Parnidzio dune and another one is Sklandytoju/Big Dunes. The Dead dunes are in another place near Pervalka. 100 Procent worth to visit.

We went to Parnidis Dune as part of our day tour of the Curonian Split. One of the highlights of the day, the dune itself is great and the viewpoints and scenery stunning. It is well managed for visitors with clearly marked paths to use.

We took the bus all the way to Nida and went up this easy walk. On a nice day, the views are lovely and you understand how this spit was created and how it is made. Dunes in the Baltics - who would have imagined. Definitely worth going.

The best coastal dunes I have seen anywhere. The highest are nearly 60 meters (196 ft) tall. On the viewpoint above the dunes, the Curonian lagoon on one site and open Baltic Sea on the other are well seen. It is only around 5 kilometers (3 miles) away from the Russian border (Kaliningrad Oblast) but that border is now closed, so the best possible way to the dunes are now from Lithuanian Klaipeda seaport with a ferry (it rides only about 6 minutes to the Curonian Spit) and after that with a car or bike on the road to Nida. The house of Thomas Mann is also near, just as the beautiful special town of Nida.

Place is nice, but it is way over rated. Place is not as wow, that it would be worh going, paying lots of fees and having very poor service.

I'm telling here about "grey dunes", not Nida dunes (tripadvisor don't have it in the directory). We visited there on thursday 19 July 2018. The fee was 2 €/adult. It was open till 7 pm. It was very hard to find. But if you enter "Pilkosios Kopos" or "grey dunes" into your navigator you will find it. These dunes are the biggest ones in the whole Europe. They are spectacular! The biggest ones are almost 60 metres! The place is magical! There is a total silence, only the wind is whispering into your ear. There is also a observatorion tower where you can see the whole area and stunning sea view! This place is really worth visiting!
