We went to try out Ryga cartings and were left diosapointed. The ring was quite ok if you like many many many turns..;] But the worst thing there was staff - they all seemed deepresed and trying to deepress everyone else. We were the only customers there and I can understand why - they tried to scare us off before we even started the rides with fines and warnings if we do something wrong we get fines, that the cartings are worth 6500 Eur so we must be ready to pay for them if we bump into something... Sad and unwelcoming experience, would'nt go back and would'nt recomend to anybody.

Its a 25 min walk out of the Old Town or €5 in a cab. Small track with limited overtaking but the karts do over 30 mph and you are permited to race hard. The laps are timed with a printout at the end so easy to see who the quickest was. Its €12 per person for a good 10 min - which is reasonably physically demanding on this twisty track. As a group of 10 we mixed and matched over 3 races and had a great laugh. Downside just a vending machine for refreshment and a little bit in the middle of nowhere but cabs make this no problem. Booking recommended but we just turned up.
