This attraction is permanently closed and has been for some months. There is a notice on the door directing you to the Latvian Holocaust Museum which is well worth visiting.

When did you visit, we went a couple of weeks ago and the sign on the door said permanently closed.

I assume it is now permanently closed. We visited late September and were told it was closing the following week at the end of the month.

If you go on the tour, there are stairs to the basement to see the cells.
