Just a 15-minute brisk walk from Riga's Old Town is this wonderful park. There's literally a magnetic lake here that draws you in and doesn't let go. We literally "hung out" for almost an hour. And then there's the zoo - small, but worthy of a lover's attention.

This park is only around 20 minutes from the centre of Riga, but had a feel of being in the forest. You can walk for miles, or rent any type of cycles you want, even big enough for family of 6. There were lots of warnings about mosquitos so come prepared in summer. There is also a big lake, and lots of places to eat and drink. mini golf course is a bit disappointing.

This was one of the most amazing places we visited while in Riga. We took the tram every time. Super easy as it's the last stop. This is like no park in the US that I have ever seen. It is literally, a forest park. HUGE trees surround amazing playgrounds and hiking trails that are sure to please the whole family. The zoo is also located here so you can really make a day of it.

I was there to see the villa from the beginn of 20th century. First German "Gartenstadt". But there are a lot of houses, but to find the ones from 1900 is really hard. No map available. Behind the Zoo there are the oldest. When you come from downtown first left you can see the house of German ambassador in the nice Art deco style. But surprisingly I found also two houses in the best Bauhaus style.

After seeing "Old Towns" the last couple days during our round trip, we need to take a break. We visited this park and didn't regret it. It's rather "wood" than a park This park is way.....out of the city centre but with trolly number 11, you'll be there ( the last stop). It is a big park and the zoo is also part of the park, just next to the entrance. It was saturday so a lot of locals spent the time with family in this park. You can find all kind of activities, such as :Rollerblading, having picnic, jogging, letting the dog out, cycling or just strolling around. There are some playgrounds and a lot of food vendors in the park. There are some restaurants in the park. On the left side of the entrance of the park, you can rent a "pedal" cart, rollerblader or a bike but there is also a bike rental (with your credit card), just on the right side of the entrance (€ 0,90 for 30 minutes). Try the cooked corn, it's very delicious.

The park is huge, we had very nice walking, I felt very safe. Next to the park there's the Zoo, a cafe, also you can rent bicycles. Easy accessible from the city center (tram 11).

My recommendation for getting to Mezaparks - take a "retro tram" from the city center. It makes the visit more special. Also there is a Zoo. My favourite place in riga where to run.

Great park! A lot of different attractions and nice paths to walk. Really interesting park at quite large area. Especially impressive how the metallic and wood have joint to one. Very nice park and great walk!

My kids enjoyed the zip lining. At first we thought it was only for little kids but found a more challenging trail for my 13 and 16 year old. It was well put together and fun. They later went roller blading. The roads are smooth and the skates were good.

Picturesque scenery and a beautiful view of the lake! I've spent 2 hours there, and it felt like I was walking in the forest. I really enjoyed a walk there.
