Amazing private spa experience! We booked in for the cocktail evening package which included the sauna, jacuzzi bath, a full body scrub and a massage. It was a dream, the best spa experience I've had (and I've had quite a few!).

The staff were professional and friendly, offering us a choice of scents for our treatments. Our massage therapists were running a little late so they changed around the itinerary so the bath experience was first, which meant we were completely zoned out and blissful by the time the massages took place!

Highly recommended

Visiting Riga with my 13yr old daughter and wanted to treat her with something special - and what is a better treat than a chocolate massage for a chocolate loving teenager?!
I asked at Park Spa if this was something they could help me with, and they were very helpful and forthcoming, offering a special 3 hour VIP treatment with chocolate peel and massage even if this is not in their regular spa menu.
My daughter was in chocolate heaven, she absolutely loved the entire experience. An extra bonus was the private spa room, for a body conscious teenager it was so easy to relax and enjoy the experience without having to worry about what other people might think of her.
We were welcomed by a friendly lady who explained the programmer for us. We started with a steam sauna, followed by a chocolate peel, chocolate massage, facial and finished the evening with a foam bath and shower. It truly wan an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a special mother-daughter experience while visiting Riga.

We had the Sultan treatment for 2.
We had an privat spa suite with shower, bath, steamshower, wardrobe and 2 beds for treatment.
The room was clean, modern, dark and warm with candles for the right mood. The staff was very professional and gave top class treatments. They gave us an unbelievable spa experience!
3 hours of heaven.
I can recommend this for everyone, I have been to many spa salons in many countries, this visit is on the top of my list.

I booked this spa after seeing glowing reviews from other travelers on Trip Advisor. I had a quick response after sending an inquiry. My husband and I got the Oriental Sultan's Secret package for 2 people.and it was well worth the price! The facilities were super clean, and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic and relaxing spa day!! My skin felt smooth like butter after the treatments! The only thing I would like to add is don't be shy about asking for more pressure during the massage - it was a little weak and the masseuse did not put enough pressure for my taste. My husband enjoyed his massage and said the pressure was perfect.

On October 15, 2014 I had my very first “spa day” ever. I’ve had massages before but never more than that. We were staying at the Clarion and I asked the desk girl if she could recommend some place where they spoke English (I had tried one other place but they didn’t speak English) and she right away recommended Park Spa. She said they would even send a taxi to come pick me up. So, she called and made a reservation for me for the next day for a 1 ½ hour massage which would cost 57 LAT.

The taxi picked me up 15 minutes prior to my appointment and dropped me off in front of a huge building. I did not have to pay for the taxi, it was prepaid. I saw the Park Spa sign on the front of the building and you access the Spa from steps that are outside the building and it is in the basement. The door was locked when I got there, but I rang the bell and Madara let me in.

When I arrived, I found out that they had a monthly special that was running until Oct. 31st. It was called “Health Secret of Rowan berries”. It included rowan berries body peeling, rowan berries aromatherapy massage, aromatic steam sauna, relaxing bath, and refreshing drinks. I had NO idea what a peeling was or what they meant by a relaxing bath but it was only 65 LAT (96 LAT for 2 people) for 3 hours so I decided to give it a try.

This may be too much information for people that are used to going to the spa, but as I am a 50 year old American prudish lady I thought I would share what happened to me, so that others that may not know what to expect with actually look forward to it.

It started with Madara meeting me at the front door (with excellent English!) and telling me to take a seat. She asked me what kind of hot tea I liked and left to prepare a pot of peppermint tea for me. After a few minutes she walked me into my own private room. This room had a private sauna, hot tub, a changing room and 2 mats on the floor with towels and small pillows and a shower. She brought the pot of hot tea in and also brought me a pitcher of water and a bowl of dried fruit and nuts.

She explained how the process would go. The changing room included a robe and slippers. She told me I was to get totally undressed, and sit in the sauna for 10-15 minutes. When I came out of the sauna, I could rinse off with the shower and then put on the disposable panties that she had on the mat and lay down on my stomach. Svetlana would be in in about 20 minutes.

I thought the sauna was REALLY hot. I had a lot of trouble breathing but forced myself to stay in for 10 minutes. Then I rushed out, rinsed off, put on the panties and sat down in the chair to drink some hot tea and eat some fruit.

Svetlana came in, had me lay down on my stomach and covered me with towels. Then she would uncover certain areas and do the peel. This was definitely NOT what I was expecting. I thought she could spread some kind of goop on me, it would dry and then she would peel it off. Instead, it was more like a scrub. She scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed with some type of exfoliate scrub that smelled amazing! I bet she scrubbed so hard that she peeled the top layer of skin right off, which must be why it’s called a peel. FYI – DON’T shave your legs before you go! It really burned! The rest of it felt amazing though!

After quite a bit of time doing this, she told me to go back into the sauna and then take a shower to get the scrub off and then she would be back for the massage. So, back into the sauna I went. I still had a little bit of trouble breathing, but it was definitely better than the first time. After about 15 minutes, I got out and took a shower (LOVED the shower head …. Kind of like a waterfall) and then sat down and had more peppermint tea while waiting for her to come back.

Svetlana came back in, had me lay back down on the floor and started the massage. I guess I should mention that the main reason I wanted a massage was that after a couple of really difficult hikes weeks before, I had messed up my back and I was having some pretty severe back spasms. She started working on my back and I really thought I was going to end up with bruises the next day. Oh my it hurt! She was really doing a deep muscle massage and spent a long time on my back and neck. Then she moved on to the rest of my body and when she did, this felt more like massages I have had in the past. After about an hour, she was done. She told me that I now had an hour to spend how I liked between the hot tub and the sauna in my room. While she was giving me the massage, the hot tub had been filling and it was FULL of bubbles (like a bubble bath)! Lots and lots of bubbles plus the jets were going.

So I spent the next hour, going back and forth between the sauna and the hot tub (which was REALLY HOT!). And a funny thing happened …. By the time I left, I had no problem at all in the sauna. It was not difficult to breathe at all. And by the time I walked out of the room, after having showered, my muscles felt like wet noodles. The only thing I wanted to do was go back to the hotel and take a nap.

So, I hope this review wasn’t too long or boring for you. I just wanted to let other people know what they could expect if they came here. Will I come again if we’re in Riga? ABSOLUTELY! In fact, I’m trying to talk my husband into the both of us doing it together before we leave this weekend. When he saw me later he told me I looked really relaxed!

The only thing extra I think you need to know is that if you pay by card there is no opportunity to put a tip on the card. So make sure you have cash for that.

To visit this spa feels really luxurious with the private spa area. We took the December deal with scrub and massage along with the steam sauna and jacuzzi for 3 hours. The masseuses were really good. The only downside was to change afterwords in the same very steamy and hot room. But very well spent time and money!

Amazing 3 hours work of massage, steam room, Jacuzzi, facials and foot therapy. We had a private 'apartment' which was dimly lit and just perfectly soothing. The staff were great. Clean and comfortable surroundings. Highly recommended. Thanks again ladies!

I'm really happy we didn't find this earlier in our stay in Riga....we would have been there every other day! We did the 3 hour massage, scrub, jacuzzi experience. Both of us have enjoyed quite a few spas before, this one is our new favorite.

We reserved the lemon valley freshness treatment - the speciality of the month. The whole experience was amazing! From the moment we stepped in to the spa, the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and we felt very welcome. Everyone spoke English and we were given good instructions about the treatment. The body peel and massage was so relaxing and the private room with steam sauna and a giant hot tub was luxurious!

They offered hot tea and nuts and also for an extra fee sparkling wine. It was not expensive as one would have thought and of course we took it! The only downside was that the changing room was basically in the treatment room so it was very damp and sweaty - a bit nasty. But would definitely go again in a heartbeat.

We decided to try the 3 hour VIP-package. The first hour we enjoyed a private space with access to our own jacuzzi and steam sauna. Tea was served together with some light snacks (fruits and nuts). Afterwards we first received a scrut treatment, followed with a finishing body massage. Everything was very good: From how we were greeted, the treatments and that we also received a cup of tea while "recuperating" from the wonderful treatments. I will definitely do this again on my next trip to Riga!
