I rented a bike with excelent conditions and service and have enjoyed Riga and beyond on myself and with some friends.
Was a perfect way to see the sights and escape traffic in a relatively short period of time. Luckily I had the weather with me!
Totally recommend also as prices go down by the longer you are renting ;)

Shop close to sightseeing buses in square by river. Pleasant young lady sorted out a bike for me .Quite surprised only 9 euros for three hours . Bike sound quite new and brakes and gears good.
Took bike under walkway onto promenade next to river and bridge headed left keeping river on right 15 minutes slow ride to end of concrete road turned back towards bridge over and back again along promenade then into town .Quick dark beer and return. Nice ride in the sun worth doing

My family took the Green Tour which covered about 30 km. It was an easy ride and our guide was very informative. It's the best way to explore the areas surrounding Riga and good value for your money! They were able to arrange our tour on very short notice. It was a very good tour!

We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the history of Riga and Latvia from our passionate guide who patiently answered all our questions and showed us some ‘off the beaten track spots” on really nice bicycles.

We just rented bikes for the whole days (12 euro pp) and got a few maps for us to explore.
We wanted to explore Riga outside the old town. What we did during the afternoon was:
1. Cross the Daugava river. Visit pink-with-blue colored Holy Trinity Orthodox Church at Meza Street in Pardaugava, walk around and buy some food and souvenirs at the handicraft and biological food market at Kalnciema iela (held on Saturday only, I believe), cycle through Pleskodale and Agenskalns to take pictures of the lovely wooden houses and old hospital, witnessing a parade for wedding pictures in the Arkadijas park, and look in awe at the sea of flowers at the foot of the Soviet Victory monument.
2. Cross the Daugava river again. Visit the renovated warehouses at Maskavas iela (were we watched people flock at one of the studios for auditions for X-factor), cycle through Turgeneva iela to look at the old university building (a concert hall nowadays, I believe?) and the yellow-with-green color Annunciation Church.
3. Underneath the railway track into the old town, through the "wooden house" district, and hang around for a late lunch and a good deal of taking pictures around the beautiful Jugendstil district (e.g. Elizabetes iela, Alberta iela) and relaxing at the Esplanade park (watching the skaters). Make sure to enter the Nativity of Christ Cathedral with its shining gold domes -- you may also catch a mesmerizing multi-vocal prayer.
4. A lovely end (before returning the bikes in time) was to go to the 26th floor of the Radisson hotel's skybar for a cocktail.

This is one of the options, just to rent the bikes. We can assist in case if clients wish to have maps or any other assistance.

We booked this tour to try and see more of the city. It was just the two of us, another tourist and the guide on our tour. It was a fantastic journey, which took us around the quiet quarter of the city (with its art nouveau buildings) and across the river to see some of the old wooden homes.
We stopped along the way to see a number of landmarks and even detoured to see a few sights our fellow tourist was keen to see. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and it just felt like exploring the city with a friend.
It was meant to be 2.5 hours, but our guide was more than happy to explore a bit further with us and we ended up being out over 3.5 hours. A fantastic bargain for just €15 and a great way to see the Riga beyond the old quarter.
