Relaxing way to see Riga

The actual boat ride was pleasantly enjoyable and was nice to see Riga by water. Unfortunately though we had to wait around 15 mins sat on the boat whilst they tried to recruit more people and then some passengers got fed up and left furthering the delay (but I don't blame them). The driver was so utterly miserable and rude... More

Slow, sedate pace. No commentary or atmosphere of any sort. Wasn't even given the little sightseeing map/flyer. Don't see anything you couldn't just by walking and the different angle from boat doesn't give you better pictures. Overall dull and boring

We looked forward to a trip on the lovely boats. We had to wait ages ! Some people walked off. No prices or times shown anywhere. On expensive side but to save money we paid 27 euros each for combined ticket for bus tour. You pay on boat. Trip took us from calm canals to choppy very wide river. I... More

We have visited Riga on a number of occasions and this time we decided to see Riga from a different perspective. And decided to go on the canal boat. Well organised and what a way to enjoy the sights of Old Riga from the canal. This is a cheap activity to do and enjoy for young and old alike. Thank... More

We boarded the Rebeka for our boat trip and spent a pleasant hour being taken along the canal and then out onto the river before looping back again. Music played throughout and there is an English voiceover which describes the major sights along the way which was both informative and witty in parts. After walking for miles this was a... More

Good way to see Riga and well priced. On a sunny day, make sure you have drink with you cause it can be hot. This was also good with children, eventhough is lasts 1 hour, because there was quite a lot to see.

We enjoy boat trips and were happy to spend 18 Euros each for a 45 minute trip, as it includes both the Riga canal and part of the Daugava river. We boarded the 11a.m. boat from the landing stage near the Bastejkalns (Bastion Hill). Our boat was Rebeka, a small (17 person capacity), electrically driven (quiet) boat. There were only... More

The boat travels along the canal, and then on to the river and back. It is a good way to familiarise yourself with the city. Not cheap though.

If the tour companies could be better organised this would be so much easier to do. The trip itself is charming and enjoyable but organising a combined ticket and then getting to get some sense of definite timings is another matter completely. We would still recommend it.
