I can put this in simple terms. If you’re visiting Riga, this is a must see place. Getting there is easy by the number 35 bus, and the €10 admission fee is well worth it.
There are some beautiful exhibits, and most of the information is in three languages.
Your admission ticket also allows you to go out and back in as many times as you want throughout the day. Absolutely brilliant.

We really enjoyed visiting the Riga Motor Museum. There were cars we had never seen or heard of before. The interpretation was great with interactive screens to learn about the cars. We really liked the StandwithUkraine stickers in the Kremlin collection. The free lockers (just need a 1 Euro coin) are great to leave your belongings and enjoy the museum. The cafe was a good spot to enjoy a drink and snack, although the hot meal special looked great too.
You can easily reach the museum on public transport via the 15, 35 or 21 bus. It takes around 30 minutes from the central market area of Riga to reach the museum.

A recently renovated motor museum.

Wonderful museum. The cars are all in pristine condition. Very interesting to see some of the soviet cars. Great opportunity to see cars you wouldn’t see in other motor museums.

I particularly liked how each car had a touch screen which provided easy to read information. There was no long winded mass paragraphs. There was also the history of the individual car too on the majority of them. The touch screens could be easily changed to 4 different languages.

€10 entry each which was really reasonable for what you got.

The locker system they have in place is also excellent.

We got a bus from the centre of Riga which stopped outside some blocks of flats and it was about a 5/10 minute walk down to the museum itself. The museum is a bit out of the centre, but is easily accessible .

Definitely worth a visit if you have not visited a motormuseum before regardless of if you are into cars or not. Entrance is only 10 euros per person which is quite a fair price. The collection is very interesting and includes a variety of Soviet era cars. Make sure to visit on a racing day as the racing court runs right next to the museum and you can watch the race from the café balcony.

This is possibly the best car museum my family has visited. My son is huge fan of cars - so we have been to many. The museum is large and modern. The collection of cars i outstanding and there are many displays about how cars funciton. We ranged from 10 to 80 in age of visitor and everyone loved it. If you have an interest in cars, take a few hours (2-3) to visit this museum. It was an easy cab ride from old town.

My 1st visit there (and the 2nd to a car museum at all after Malaga). It is a really great exhibition incl the world's driving&car history, Soviet car history and Latvian own RAF as well. Museum's history (incl about how they got some cars) is also interesting. Also interesting history stands of phones and Riga Radio Factory. Ca 2 hours seems to be a minimum. NB! Car exhibition is located at 3 floors, we almost left before finding the last one. Also there was a nice show outside (one special car presented a speed (and sound) at the race circuit. With your ticket you can go 3 times in-out (toilets and food area is outside the museum area but at the same building). Parking is free.

Fabulous museum with some incredible vehicles I'd never seen before. Unlike similar automobile museums in western Europe or in the USA there was obviously a far larger range of Russian or Soviet era vehicles and brands to see - which even to myself (not a car fanatic!) were clearly different and unusual compared to my own knowledge of older cars! Discovered names of cars and drivers that I'd never heard of. The museum is beautiful, modern and really well laid out. The staff were extremely kind too as one of us had a sudden nose bleed and had to be allowed out and back in again to urgently rush to the toilet. Really warm welcome and a great day out.

The museum had a very interesting and focused collection of vehicles spanning from the first Benz to USSR classics from as late as the 1980s. There are cars from different parts of the world and all are in excellent shape. However the ones that are certainly the most fascinating to see are those that populated Riga during the soviet occupation. These are very interesting machines that aren’t commonly seen in automotive museums, thus worthwhile the trip to this museum. I emphasize the trip aspect as this is by no means within walkable distance. You will need to take a taxi and be ready to spend between 1-2 hours to enjoy all it has to offer.

The cars were quite nice, but there was not much to do. I think we walked it through in ~30 minutes, so rather expensive for such a short time.
However, a true entusiast could problably value it more than I did...

We had a very nice visit to the museum today. First of all, the service and considerations for the COVID-19 guidelines were very good. The staff were wearing face covers, there was clear information on social distancing and there were gloves and handsanitizer available. The exhibit was very nice, with a lot of information and some very unique cars. We very much appreciated one of the staff approaching us and offering more information about the 'Frankenstein' car.
