World Class Auto Museum - On your mark, get set, GO!!!!!!
Sep 2019
World Class collection of auto and other transport items! Had no idea this collection would be this large and well displayed - certainly up to the standards of the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart or Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana. From Stalin's limo to a Trabant and many Eastern European cars rarely seen in top flight museums. Many vehicles have direct ties to Riga or Latvia and the early development of the automobile. In addition to the cars are other collections like radios that line the walls of one area. in addition to cars there are some more industrial machines in the basement like a bus and ambulance. History, Elegance, and Development are all covered in this collection.

Loved this museum
Jul 2020 • Couples
Loved the place. I am not the car enthusiast but it was really interesting for me too. We spent there almost 2 hours. The usage of video, picture, audio and cars were amazing. All interactive boards were also in estonian, so it was nice to enjoy everthing in your native language. I think this museum is more interesting for adults, but it is a great place for family too. Great collection of vehicles.

Super awesome experience

Visited the museum with my husband who is really into cars. It was a nice museum - lots of real old cars, many of them very unique. They had cars from the late 1800s and it was interesting even for me, I am not a big auto-enthusiast. They also had some interactive features and it was cool to play around with them. If you are even a bit into motorized vehicles it’s a must in Riga!

We appreciate your visit and taking the time to share a review! Even if you are not enthusiastic about cars, our museum provides a place where different viewpoints to the cars are offered, thus it is possible to form own experience and take away information that is interesting only for an individual.

I recommend to take a couple of hours and visit it!
Jul 2020
My 1st visit there (and the 2nd to a car museum at all after Malaga). It is a really great exhibition incl the world's driving&car history, Soviet car history and Latvian own RAF as well. Museum's history (incl about how they got some cars) is also interesting. Also interesting history stands of phones and Riga Radio Factory. Ca 2 hours seems to be a minimum. NB! Car exhibition is located at 3 floors, we almost left before finding the last one. Also there was a nice show outside (one special car presented a speed (and sound) at the race circuit. With your ticket you can go 3 times in-out (toilets and food area is outside the museum area but at the same building). Parking is free.

Okay

The cars were quite nice, but there was not much to do. I think we walked it through in ~30 minutes, so rather expensive for such a short time.
However, a true entusiast could problably value it more than I did...

Great service, great exhibit
May 2020
We had a very nice visit to the museum today. First of all, the service and considerations for the COVID-19 guidelines were very good. The staff were wearing face covers, there was clear information on social distancing and there were gloves and handsanitizer available. The exhibit was very nice, with a lot of information and some very unique cars. We very much appreciated one of the staff approaching us and offering more information about the 'Frankenstein' car.

Small but fascinating collection
Feb 2020 • Friends
The museum had a very interesting and focused collection of vehicles spanning from the first Benz to USSR classics from as late as the 1980s. There are cars from different parts of the world and all are in excellent shape. However the ones that are certainly the most fascinating to see are those that populated Riga during the soviet occupation. These are very interesting machines that aren’t commonly seen in automotive museums, thus worthwhile the trip to this museum. I emphasize the trip aspect as this is by no means within walkable distance. You will need to take a taxi and be ready to spend between 1-2 hours to enjoy all it has to offer.
