We watched a lot of you tube videos before going to Riga but they did not do justice to this monument or the area around it. It's near the powder tower in some lovely parkland so you can spend some time admiring all the views.
The Freedom Monument was just down the street from the Hotel Relais le Chevalier in Riga, Latvia, where we stayed. It is there to honor those who died in the Latvian War for Independence 1928-1920. It represents Freedom to Latvians. A Photo Stop.
