Although it was cold and it rained this square was still beautiful. Near it a few sightseeing buses have their first stop

Some really interesting architecture. Some lovely hidden places to eat and drink. Great area for taking photos. Friendly locals.

Large city square with the spectacular House of Blackheads. Bombed during WWII, and rebuilt from former blueprints, splendor in the sun!

If you are in old town in Riga. You have to find this square! Its full of tourists! Probably will be difficult to make selfie without others... But its spectacular!

Although this town square is not as overwhelmingly huge as other town squares in other Old Towns, it is nevertheless pretty. Medieval buildings were restored & cafes, restaurants, shops are abundant. I found that restaurant prices are much higher on the square than those on the side streets. Just a caveat, in case you get hungry. Of course nothing beats... More
