About
The Estonian Sports Museum, founded in 1963, is also the largest sports museum in the Baltics. The permanent exhibition "The Story of Estonian Sport" features Estonian Sports Hall of Fame and various hands-on activities like an interactive basketball court, historical gym, retro room and many other fun attractions! The museum is located just in the centre of Tartu. Guided tours available! Interactive exhibition "Arena of Martial Arts" highlights the representation of martial arts in Estonia and around the world; where martial arts have originated and what their history of formation, values, ethics, pop culture, and much more entail. The exhibition will also feature several experiential attractions! “Estonians in Paris 1924," provides an overview of the most recent Paris Games, the Estonians who participated, their stories, and examines how the Estonian national football team fared at the Olympics. You also have the opportunity to try out human foosball yourself!

We had a lot of fun! We went with a group of 5 and all of us really enjoyed it. The museum is very interactive and has a lot of hands-on activities. We played football and found it the best activity for team-building and having fun with friends. While in the museum, we found, that time passed very quickly! Our expectations were exceeded by a long shot! Thank you!

The permanent exhibition gives a great overview of Estonian sports history and the interactive elements make it easy to lose track of time wandering around. The collection of trophies and sports memorabilia was super impressive and there were engaging activities in every room for both children and adults. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tartu!

A wonderful museum in the heart of Tartu. Definitely worth a visit - lots of activities for both children and grown-ups. The exhibitions were mostly interactive and are interesting even for those who aren't that interested in Estonian sports history. We spent 1,5-2 hours at the museum and we would definitely come back!

Yesterday, I visited the museum for the first time and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was very interactive yet educative at the same time. There were so many important medals, trophies, costumes etc and I could not believe those were the original ones. Highly recommend!!

Young or old, alone or with family - doesn't matter, it's a great way to pass couple of hours in the centre of Tartu. Museum gives you a good overview of Estonian sports history while offering a great variety of interactive exhibitions. Also keep in mind that the museum is always in progress, so if you come back to Tartu again, visit again!

Hello! We are sorry to hear that your visit wasn't as expected. However, all the exhibitions in our house are translated into English as well. Perhaps you are mistaken us with some other museum? Regarding the games which didn't work - may I ask when did you visited us? As far as we know all our interactive games have been working so far. Perhaps there was a temporary error? Our customer service assistants are always happy to help if there's any problem or a question. I sincerely hope that next time you visit us, the experience will be better. Our museum is developing all the time and there's more new exhibitions to come.

The museum is super interactive and even as a foreigner very interesting and informative. Most of the information is also written in English. And the small games/things you can do triggers your inner child. I would visit it again, for sure.

The museum is wonderful to every Estonian and also for those who are interested in Estonia or in sports and Olympics. Small nations don't have so many sports heroes as the bigger one's, but they are loved and remembered.
For children and also ohter visitors who like games are possibilities to test your speed and reaction in different interactive games.
