An interesting approach to storytelling
Nov 2019
The Tallinn Legends was quite interesting. I don't want to go into details here, because the element of surprise is part of the experience. I booked a tour in Finnish, and the narration was fine, but some of the actors had an accent so bad their lines were impossible to understand. I wish I had chosen the English version. The display and all the sets were well build and the stories were interesting. Generally I liked the experience and I can recommend it, mostly because it's not an ordinary museum. I left the place with a not-so-good feeling, because first, there was no guarded wardrope to leave your outdoor clothing and shopping bags, you have to wear it the whole hour. Secondly they seemed to want money all the time. At first there was a very unnecessary photo session and they were of course keen to sell the photos and at the end of the tour they seemed to expect tips, even though we already paid good money for our tickets.

Great service, nice stories and legends from the Medieval Ages.
Went with my Estonian friends from Tartu. The Plague stories were the best!

The dark side of Tallin
Dec 2019 • Couples
Interesting and fun a little loud a little hard to understand at times but a worthwhile pursuit to get a snapshot of Tallin history. Young actors set a scene and participate with sound effects and scenery in background. We enjoyed it and whilst I wouldn’t do it again I would recommend it to certain friends

Nice job overall

It was a unique experience but we felt tricked. We only spent the 32 or something € because there was a plague doctor on the logo and photos of a plague doctor interacting with costumers inside the lobby. The only plague doctor we saw was about 15 cm tall. This was disappointing because we wanted to learn some authentic facts and learn about plague doctors in order to create an authentic experience at a haunted house this year. The actors didn't show much enthusiasm, some scenes started before the first person in the group was even in the scene, and some scenes were so loud you couldn't even hear the story from the actors or the audio. I wouldn't spend the money to do it again but I would recommend it if you had the money and time to spare and nothing to do. It advertised as an about 40min show, ours was just under 30 mins once the show actually started. I'm sure at one point this was amazing and well worth the price but with the run down scenes and the non enthusiastic actors, it was not what we expected. Still we don't have experiences like this where we are from so we did it and it was worth doing it once just don't expect something grandiose.

Too many distractions
It's a great idea, but there was too much going on (loud noises, objects moving) to listen to the stories. I think it would be better if the special effects were reduced so we could just listen to the legends. Those speaking/singing should be able to be heard loudly and clearly. My friends and I couldn't understand what was said a lot of the time.

Better than Expected
Oct 2019
My Partner and I turned up around 4.00pm and were the only people there but led straight away for the tour. We thought it was good having the place to ourselves it was more like a private tour. We enjoyed it as it was better than we were expecting. It was very informative and the actors did a good job. A good way to spend an hour and learn about some of the darker side of Tallinn.

Something different
Sep 2019
A bit hokey, but fun nevertheless, even for two seniors.
You proceed through a series of rooms in the basement of a historical building and hear various legends in each room. I couldn’t understand all of what they say, but that did not take away the delight in the novelty of it all. Young actors, and a clever design, create a charming experience. It is even a little bit scary at times (but not too much).

Odd but worth a visit
Sep 2019 • Couples
A good mix of Tallinn legends and history. The rooms are very well decorated and a TON of work obviously went into everything—sometimes way more than needed! Actors were great and staff was friendly. Worth doing but a bit cheesy and slightly overpriced.
