Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of music from different eras and genres. Straight up one of a kind in the region. Guaranteed to find gems in the second hand section as well as in the new arrivals. Fantastic selection of local music.

Definitely should be at the top of your list when visiting record stores in Tallinn.

Oh and they sell great local beer at a ridiculously low price too!

This is a great record store, right in the heart of Tallinn's old town. It's good to see them set up shop, going against the tide of tourist traps and souvenir shops.
The space is full of light, and it's clearly got potential to become even better, seeing as it's not full yet.
The record selection is impressive. All the sections I browsed had records in mint/near-mint condition.
On the day I visited the staff seemed busy, so I didn't get to talk to them.
The only "negative" thing I'd point out about their service was probably just an "accident" - My friend had just paid for a record and he was really happy, convinced he'd just bought something really special. Almost right after his payment got through, a staff member reached out for a box with more copies of the same record, to put them back in the right section. My friend was still happy with his new record, but he felt seeing them replace it so quickly just made the experience a little less "special" for him.
Maybe it only happened because it was a busy day at the store. But in any case, music buffs and record collectors will usually pay attention to little things like that.

Super cozy space in the Old-Town with a specially great selection for weekenders and house music lovers. The owner and his super pug were very helpful with old and new estonian music – older jazz, funk and soul in particular.

Biit is located in one of the few art nouveau buildings in Old Town Tallinn, make sure to see the pink sign and then enter the green door on your left. It's a huge venue, offers quality craft beer for less than supermarket & of course the vinyl selection is great! (Tip: closed on Mondays, but if you message the owner on Biit facebook page he might open for you).

New opening times after the quarantine, but happily the shop is alive and made it through hard times! Welcome back, awesome record slection as always. Heard the larger second-hand vinyl section is about to open soon too.

I found it rather by chance, it is not plain obvious, as the store is located on an upper floor (but there is a sign at the entrance).
The very friendly staff helped me find great local music which would otherwise have remained a hidden treasure for mee (and I've seen a lot of other interesting music).
The store itself has a nice atmosphere and has a special atmosphere to it. Really worth spending some time finding great vinyls (especially, though they also have CDs).
