What a wonderful tour of Tallin!! We booked a 6.5 hour custom private, wheelchair accessible tour for our family of 5 with Saku Travel. Maarja was our tour guide and she met us at the cruise terminal, as we were on a cruise of the Baltic Sea and Tallinn was one of our port stops. Maarja made the whole experience so special and was super nice and sweet. She went out of her way to make the tour very personalized for us, and she was very prepared with photos and knowledge of Tallinn and its history. She made sure to take us to areas that were wheelchair accessible for my 82 year old mother-in-law, and we saw all of the top sites (Old Town, Toompea Hill, Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Kadriorg Park & Palace, Town Hall Square and Pharmacy, and Seaplane Harbor to name a few). Also stopped for an amazing Estonian lunch at Komeet Cafe. Juri was our driver, and he was so friendly as well and helped us all in and out of the van, as well as getting the wheelchair out and ready at all stops. Just top notch customer service all around and a quality tour!! The communication from Maarja before, during and even in follow-ups after the tour, was outstanding and again, very personalized. This tour was a highlight of our travels in the Baltic area, and it was such a great value and experience. Thanks to Maarja and Juri for such an amazing time and it was a joy to spend the day with both of them.

Hi Jlrussell7, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review of your experience. It was our pleasure to help your family to explore Tallinn. I put my heart into every tour and it is great to know that it's appreciated. I enjoyed the conversations with you on our way, no matter the topic! Thank you again for choosing us. Hope we can meet again in the future. Kind regards, Maarja & Jüri

We were greeted warmly by Maarja and Juri at our hotel and loaded into their very nice van for a 4 hour tour of Tallinn. We enjoyed great conversations with Maarja as we learned so much of not only Tallinn and Estonia’s history but also the cultural features of this great country and capital. The sense of history in Old Town was very impressive. Any mobility concerns we had were expertly handled and all stops along the tour took into consideration our limitations. Some sights we saw simply involved us remaining seated while Maarja got out, opened the sliding door and explained what we were viewing. The more questions we had the more interesting the tour became for all of us and we felt we gained a tremendous education in a very entertaining manner. We strongly recommend Saku Travel. They provided a great experience and we suggest they be considered first when planning a tour.

Same as all the other reviews you are seeing here. Maarja and Juri provided excellent service. Safe driving, informative guiding.
We customized the itinerary and it was no issue. I found a small cafe in the countryside that sounded good. Maarja had never heard of it, so she went there to check it out first and made a reservation. Turned out to be a nice place: Matilda and Ott.

Great communication all the way leading up to the trip.
Can’t recommend these folks enough.

My wife and I booked a private 4-hour tour with Jüri, who drove us, and Katrin, who guided us, on the first morning of our visit to Tallinn. Both Jüri and Katrin are extremely friendly and gave us a great introduction to life in Tallinn and in Estonia, as well as its history. Katrin is very knowledgeable, personable and very willing to answer all kinds of questions about her country and city. They took us on a driving and walking tour of various different neighborhoods, then Katrin walked with us through the Old City. We felt so comfortable exploring Tallinn following this tour, and it made our visit so much more meaningful than it would have been without it.

We are two couples and requested something more than the standard visitor tour of the Tallinn. Maarja (guide) and Jüri (driver) provided exactly that. We started our adventure with a trip to the Kau Manor where we heard stories of its renovation and experienced an Absinthe drink. We followed it up with a very unique descent into an abandoned Russian bomb shelter. Lunch at the Leib Restaurant was a great choice. We then wandered through the older part of Tallinn, visiting a couple of cathedrals along the way. The Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin was quite unusual with walls covered with patron coat of arms and the floors with “rented” burial plots. However, as we reminisced about our visit, the most fascinating part of this excursion was Maarja herself as she shared stories about her extended family, the challenges under German and Russian dominance as well as their current independence. If we were able to do it over again, we’d look for a way to spend even more time wandering the streets of Tallinn, sitting outside local pubs or restaurants, having a few brews and listening to her talk about Estonian history, politics and current events. She's a wealth of information and a joy to interact with. We'd love to return there and spend more time with her.

We had a very enjoyable tour of this wonderful town in a Mercedes Viano wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Maarja is a very warm friendly and knowledgeable guide who gave us a very informative tour of this beautiful town and surrounding areas.

I would highly recommend Saku Travel to anyone visiting Tallinn and anyone requiring a wheelchair accessible tour.

We are very happy to know you had a good time with us! Thank you for your nice comments. We do love showing people around Tallinn, so for us our job is our hobby which makes it easy to do :-) We hope you'll come back to Estonia (for the 3rd time!) Kind regards, Maarja & Jüri

Maarja is a most excellent guide. She was engaging, knowledgeable, funny, and her enthusiasm for her home city/country is quite contagious! She welcomed us warmly at the cruise port and took good care of all us including my 80 year old mobility challenged Uncle. If you can only be in Estonia one day I highly recommend this company.

We decided to take a private tour of Tallinn after reading the positive views on TripAdvisor. It was one of the highlights of our cruise. We toured for four hours with Hobe -- half driving around the outskirts of the Old Town and half walking through the Old Town. Old Town is absolutely charming and we wished we could have had more time to wander, but we only had enough time for lunch before having to return to the ship. Hobe is a great guide. She was friendly and informative, but low key -- she didn't feel the need to fill every moment with chatter as some guides tend to do, but allowed us time to observe and reflect.

My wife and I toured Tallin with Maarja as our guide and Juri as our driver. I do not believe that any other guide and driver could have done a better job. Saw the sights inside and outside of the Old Town. Maarja was a wealth of knowledge and a fun person to be with.
We travel quite a bit and have had guides in most of the 80 or so countries we have visited. Maarja was not only excelllent as a guide but also as a person. It is rare that a guide or travel agency Has the trust in people that she has. Guides and agencies always have a deposit of at least 25% to 50% as a prerequisite to do the tour. Though I offered Maarja she would not take a deposit. Nice to see that there are people in this world with trust in people.
DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER THAN SAKU For your cruise guide or a guide needed for several days in Estonia.
