About
The museum’s permanent exposition "A Heart to Heart About Your Body" provides both adults and children with excellent basic knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the human body, senses, sexuality, hygiene and health care issues. Estonian Health Museum is located in Tallinn's Old Town. We have 15 exciting theme rooms, various models, interactive displays, computer programs and hands-on games to demonstrate how the human body functions. As all museums even this one struggle with pandemic sad time. But Estonians are creative they offer via online museum visits. So be ready for nice virtual tour!

Entertaing and unexpected museum for old town
Jul 2020
Nice and interesting museum covering the themes you not expect o find in medeival old town museums which are mostly tend to show some history or so. Here is full fledged medical museum with some exhibits indeed not for a faint hearted. It has own share of interactive things for kids's to do, but I think if you are going there with kids, best age would be in their teens, when they can understand it in full, it's fine to go with smaller kids to, but I think they either will miss a lot of points there or simply will be scared by some exhibitions.

Educational yet entertaining

Not all the exhibits are for the faint hearted. Well presented, clear and accurate descriptions of exhibits. Our visit was spoiled slightly by a poorly behaved group of schoolchildren.
Mrs Tyrone and I both from a medical background but pitched at a level for everyone to enjoy

A great way to learn about anatomy and physiology as well as certain conditions along with the history of health science. Highly recommend for children and biology/healthcare students.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was fun, educational and interactive. It doesn't look like a big museum, but it takes a long time to explore

Despite being titled "Health Care Museum" this place is a comprehensive study of human physiology. The exhibits are great, everything is explained exceptionally well and there is a great deal of engaging interactivity, (Estonian, English and Russian)
The museum also does not balk at covering issues such as STDs, difficult times in the 70s/80s and death.
One of the best museums I have visited, and only €6. €5 if you are a teacher.

Unexpectedly amazing museum
Jul 2019 • Couples
We came across this museum by accident and thought it might be interesting even though the theme has nothing to do with the history and culture of he old town of Tallinn. We were surprised and amazed by the standard of presentation. The exhibits are interesting and informative. There are enough interactive activities for those who prefer to do rather than read.

The museum is also much bigger than we expected, stretching over three floors. Unfortunately we had to rush through given that we were only in Tallinn for the day. We could have easily spent two hours. Our daughter, a medical student, thought that the museum was great.
