Entertaing and unexpected museum for old town
Nice and interesting museum covering the themes you not expect o find in medeival old town museums which are mostly tend to show some history or so. Here is full fledged medical museum with some exhibits indeed not for a faint hearted. It has own share of interactive things for kids's to do, but I think if you are going there with kids, best age would be in their teens, when they can understand it in full, it's fine to go with smaller kids to, but I think they either will miss a lot of points there or simply will be scared by some exhibitions.

An amazing museum, you need hours in this place
We got sore feet after 4 hours (unfortunately there's hardly anywhere to sit down in the museum) but could easily have spent an entire day browsing through all the fascinating exhibits about the human body. Loved the special exhibition on sleep, too! There is English on all the exhibit signs.

Possibly the best museum in Tallinn!
This museum is all about the human body and the exhibits give wonderful explanations of everything from skin to reproduction to death. There are amazing cross-sections of bodies to demonstrate how body parts work and interesting models and hands-on activities to help understanding. This type of museum should be in every city to help children and adults understand the human body and appreciate how to take better care of it. I wish I had stayed longer or was able to visit again. If you have the Tallinn Card, definitely add this museum to your list of places to visit.

An excellent museum for adults and children. The layout is very well designed, educational, clear, interactive. We were there for 2 hours, if we didn't have other commitments that day, we could have stayed there for at least another hour. The staff is very friendly. There are also interesting things to buy as a souvenir in the souvenir shop.

Not all the exhibits are for the faint hearted. Well presented, clear and accurate descriptions of exhibits. Our visit was spoiled slightly by a poorly behaved group of schoolchildren.
Mrs Tyrone and I both from a medical background but pitched at a level for everyone to enjoy

It's definitely one of the best museums in Tallin. In the city centre, we used the Tallin card to visit this museum. It takes a couple of hours, quite big on 3 floors. Nice experience, very well kept, everything is well explained in English as well. You can experience many things about the human body and see the mummified bodies to see its different parts from near it. Definitely it's worth the visit and the price.

As an art historian I tend to visit mainly art museums/ galleries but I was pleasantly surprised with a visit to ETM. Different input on a curatorial space and some fun and interesting exhibit objects. Plan at least 2 hours for the museum.

10 x more then expected. Many many interactive activities for adults and kids. Exhibition items detailed quite shortly, so you don't get tired reading long stories. Rooms are categorized by human body parts. Things about human anatomy explained really easily to understand. You should go to museum right away it's open, then you can try interactive activities without rush or waiting in queue. If you going to read a little bit about exhibits, then you will stay there about 2 hours. If you like to read more, discuss with friends, take photos ant etc. then plan for 3 hours. Money/Quality rating - surprisingly good.

A great way to learn about anatomy and physiology as well as certain conditions along with the history of health science. Highly recommend for children and biology/healthcare students.
