I visited this Garden around 6pm (they close at 8). There were only a few other couples in the park at that time. Not crowded at all. Peaceful, quiet. Awesome place for photography.

Went here in May when trees were budding. It was beautiful. The glass houses were amazing examples of micro-climates and they had a tulip exhibition there at the time that smelled divine. The grounds were somewhere between a very good/clean park and a well kept simple botanic garden.

Quite far from centre, but near to the another attraction worth visiting Tallinn Tv Tower. You can save money and buy a combined ticket to visit both places. I really liked tropical and subtropical greenhouses. Orchids are exquisite and cacti are funny. Guess it is even better here later, when more flowers are blooming outside.

I like gardening I admit but thought that probably in March the botanical gardens wouldn't have much to show and not an ideal place in cold weather! Believe me I was wrong! There are some huge glass houses that were wonderful . The temperature was lovely and we came just after the height of the orchid displays. The flowers were... More

Naturally this is much more better target for visit at summer time. But the entrance fee is cheap, so you can visit there at winter too, especially if you are travelling with your own car. Otherwise I would save it for summer, because this is located quite far from centrum. Indoors contain two sections, personally I liked the subtropical section... More

I like gardens and love to visit them. Now, in late September the Colchicum autumnale were in blossom, also some roses and some summer plants were still blooming. Some plants, however, were already prepared for the winter and had already been cut down (low). The area of rhododendrons was not that great and alpine plant area (rock garden) was also... More

Tallinn Botanical Gardens or Tallinna Botanikaaed is a great gardens that is 110 hectares with about 7000 plants. Entrance fee for an adult is 5 euros and students get half off. So much to see in outside gardens and also in houses. Great place to roam when the weather is nice. In one house there is also couple different parrots... More

We always have a good weather plan and a plan for not so good weather. On a rainy day we took the bus out of town and started in the glasshouses; as the weather improved we saw more of this impressive garden for nature lovers.

Took the bus out there (20 minutes, 1.60 Euro, no English), paid the 5 Euro entrance to the gardens (they are in the middle of the forest), unfortunately not much to see. Recommend you only go there if you a) are REALLY into plants, or b) haven't seen a dozen Botanic Gardens before, c) want to experience the (soviet?) "charm"... More
