We visited both at night and in the daytime, so we kept very fit going up and down the steps to reach the garden with its view across the city and of the old walls, along with statues reminding us of the ghosts that are...More

This garden is located just on the edge of city wall and is quite small. The highlight definitely are the monk figures. There is some history behind this place, you can read about it around the place.

This garden sits below the old town walls and provides the entrance to the Kiek in de Kok. It is beautifully maintained but, in fact, quite small, Take a quick look as you walk around the Old Town.

This is an interesting area on the edge of the old town. We were a little confused about the walls here with archery slits pointing towards the upper town. Later we learned that these were the walls around the lower town that separated it from...More

Accidentally came across this little trail while exploring the area. Its situated between the Niguliste Museum and Neitsitorn Museum. Its supposed to be the spot where in 1219, The Danish Flag fell from the sky and led the Danish forces to victory over the Estonians.

Before climbing down from the upper part of the old town to the lower part. The monk sculptures are not old but a nice touch to the wall between upper and lower towns. There are several worthwhile stops on the way down the stairs off...More

Nice well kept garden with a good view over Tallinn that is perfect for pictures. There are also statues of faceless monks around the garden that were apparently donated by a wealthy local and have no significance whatsoever

If you like legendary places with haunting stories, this is the place in Tallinn you shouldn’t miss. Just behind Neitsitorni Museum, there is this amazing entrance for the “Short Leg Gate Tower”, that is considered one of the most haunted places in Tallinn and which...More

Thank you! It was probably some kind of a fault. I really searched a way to add one more picture I forgot to add to my review, but have found an answer. So, may be I clicked some point on the PC monitor by fault :-) I'm... More
