At first going down the stairs and couldn't ask anyone it looked like nothing was there other than a ruin from a church. Then we decided to look further the 2nd time we walked downstairs and we found out that inside (deep inside 🙄) was...More

Lovely church, beautifully restored after considerable bomb damage in WWII. Now houses stunning collection of medieval art including guild silver ware. High spot probably the 'Dance of Death' painting from plague time in the 15th century - will send shivers down your spine! The skeletal...More

This is another of the important Tallinn landmarks. Though originally a church, it now houses an ecclesiastical museum, for which the charge seemed rather steep.

This is a bit underwhelming as there are not a whole lot of exhibitions, and the one worth seeing (Dance with Death) is behind reflective glass.

Nigulste church is an architectual wonder as it seems to have been added too over the centuries. What makes this church extremely special is the number of goose-bump provoking concerts you will hear. From free Sta. afternoon organ recitals to premieres of the new works...More

Mind you, there is also St.Nicholas Orthodox Church in Tallin-well worth a visit in its own right but smaller. Thee St.Nicholas is also a seat of Niguliste Museum-museum of ecclesiastical(church), predominantly medieval art . The original church interior, pews and the lot perished during WW2,...More

But it is just one picture - very old, very famous and rather big, yes, but still only one! Not worth 6 euro of entrance fee, as the rest of the church is just an ordinary church. I was much more entertained by the Chrismas...More
