We were the only visitors in this small cottage when we waded our way through the February snow. It was pleasantly warm inside and well laid-out. There's not a huge amount to see, but there is an informative short video shown in the basement as...More

... would seem too humbled to the casual tourist’s eye. And yes you would easily walk past it if it is not for the small sign outside, proclaiming it a house and a museum, only that the sign was also equally negligible. But then imagine...More

We were taken here by our tour guide after visiting Kadriorg Palace. Interesting to see how Peter the Great lived the "simple life"

This is Peter the Great's summer house. It contains a few period rooms and a short video. It is worth a quick look.

We had free entry with the Tallinn card and had time to visit this museum and enjoyed the displays and information. A ten minute video in the basement is worth seeing beforehand as this puts Tsar Peter the Great involvement in Estonia in context.

This was a temporary house for Peter 1 whilst his palace was being built. Historical movie in the basement was very interesting. Huge paintings of family members. Furniture and period pieces.

A little difficult to find as we were walking but so interesting. We were eager to see it as we had previously seen Peter the Great's similar cottage in St. Petersburg. Luckily we were the only ones there so the lady on the reception desk...More

I wasn't expecting much from this place but it is a nice little museum. Russian Tsar Peter the Great stayed in this little house while his Palace was under construction. Typical for these kinds of museums, you'll see his bed, dinning table, chairs and some...More

We came across this Museum rather unexpectedly as it didn't feature prominently on the map we'd picked up at the Tourist Office and appear in the list of the top things to see in Tallinn when I'd looked on Trip Advisor before the visit.. however...More

Just as we passed further upward from the Kadriorg Palace Museum and presidential residence, along the alleys of beautiful trees and beside the charming lawns with the ponds and fountains, we suddenly got in the front of one humble 17th century cottage. That is where...More
