The church is not overly sanitised like a lot these days. There are family crests on the walls from the families buried there. Pay the extra 3 euro for the tower which has great views of the city.

Pretty church that’s been around for many hundreds of years - ask a local or guide about all the aristocrats and wealthy people buried under there to secure their place in heaven

The interior of St. Mary's features beautifully carved wooden coats of arms of Estonian noble families as well as a number of tombs. The interior is unique as to the size of the pews.

This is the oldest church in the area and now it really is a museum. What is a Lutheran Church, it has some very interesting pieces including a gravestone as you leave. Certainly worth visiting - Small admission charge.
