Great Views of Toompea Looming Above
Jun 2019
This is a pretty green park that follows the west side of Toompea. It is mostly flat, but has fairly steep walking trails almost up to the base of Toompea's structures. It is a nice, peaceful, cool place to walk on a hot day & is divinely free of tourists.

Peaceful garden just outside the coty walls
Jul 2018 • Solo
This beautiful and peaceful park which lies just otuside the city gates provides a welcome respite from the hordes inside with its picturesque moat, many walkways and interesting sculptures.

Nice peaceful stroll
Jan 2018 • Couples
Visited in winter so very quiet but still a nice park to spend some time in and have a walk.

Quite large and skirts a fairly large section outside the old town and a nice way to get away from the crowds on the other side of the wall.

Nice walk with views of Toompea Hill
Nov 2017 • Solo
Toompark is located just outside the Old Town and at the foot of Toompea Hill. From one end of the park (near Nunne Street), stairs lead up to Patkuli viewing platform. Walking through the park alongside the serpentine lake takes you to Toompea Castle and Lindamägi Park. Opposite the park is Tallinn's railway station. The park is appropriate for a short relief from the crowded streets of the Old Town.

Nice park
May 2017 • Solo
A nice park just outside the city walls, and has the only remaining moat to the castle. A good place to escape the city stress and enjoy the nature just of the city centre.

Lovely green space
Apr 2017 • Couples
One of many green spaces around the old town walls. This one in particular has a lovely pond, being close to the train/bus station and the up and coming trendy area of Telliskivi. makes it quite a bust area. This was also the final destination of the most amazing free walking tour (see separate review).

Beautiful autumn walk
Oct 2016 • Family
We use this park for family walks. It's very big area to run and same time enjoy the view. For kids it may be interesting to watch or feed ( while animal protection group members don't see) ducks:))

Beautiful park near Railway Station
Aug 2016 • Couples
Toompark is right outside of Old City's Wall(west side) and you can come here for example after visiting Toompea Hill or Railway Station. Night time there might be some "interesting characters" drinking their beverages, but this is a must visit during day time. Beautiful pond full of ducks, lots of jogging paths, dog park, basketball and football court etc. There is also some nice restaurants, like Pööbel for example.

Calm park for a break
Aug 2016 • Family
Perfect spot for taking a break from buzy streets of old town. Park is located right next to Patkuli steps. Area surrounds the Snell Pond, where you can find ducks swimming. Lots of benches, hiking tracks around the pond, dog park, football/basketball field, over 100 different tree species and clean grass areas.
