Everything what we were expecting! Small museum but very interesting stories and pictures. Place’s accessibility was diffucult because of the location in a buildings basement so not for wheelchairs or strollers. Not the best customer service, but all in all positive impression of our visit!

Toured the former KGB jail. Pretty grim history behind it as often people were shipped off to Siberia from the jail. Decent value for $5 E entry fee.

Well worth a visit and will only take you no more than an hour. Not normally something we would visit but considering this is in such recent past we decided to take a look. Tiny place with some interesting information including history about the Ukrainians...More

A relatively new addition to the tourist trail, on Pikk close to St Olaf's, this little underground museum is well worth an hour's diversion from the overground architecture, telling the tale of the history of the building mainly during the Soviet era. You wouldn't want...More

This place is interesting to see a part of the history of Tallinn in WWII and the soviet occupation. It’s kept very well in its original state but it’s very small and give only a small part of the rich history. It’s nice when you...More

The 5 Euros entry fee was money well spent. Both the older and younger members of the family found it extremely informative and well laid out. It was very sad and interesting in equal measure to find out the stories of people who were kept...More

For the casual visitor, prisons can be fascinating - full of history, through provoking and quite sobering. While this is not Alcatraz, it does have its grim tales to tell, especially as it lies, hidden in the basement of an otherwise regular city centre building.

A reminder of the inhuman system of the past, especially during the Soviet regime. The cells really give you the chills. The exhibit is quite small, so it does not take much time to see. The entrance is only E5.

Came across this interesting small museum when wandering through Tallinn Old Town making our way back to our cruise ship. Stopped in and took in the history of this place with many secrets.
