My family and I loved our visit to Vene talu. Veronika was so warm and friendly. We were welcomed to their farm like we were part of the family. The farm house and little museum are very quaint and showcased Russian traditions very nicely.

During our visit my family made traditional Russian dolls. They turned out so cute and we now treasure them as they are such a nice souvenir from our visit. We were also served delicious homemade cookies and tea.

I would highly recommend you visit Vene talu, you will not be disappointed.

My family and I visited Vene Talu in the summertime and it was a lovely experience to see a traditional Russian farm brought to life in the modern age! Between a museum and a farmhouse brought to life - this was a unique experience that I have not seen anywhere else.

We were greeted with bread and salt - a lovely custom to welcome visitors. Our hosts, Lyubov and Veronika were very kind and informative. They guided us through each experience, explaining the meaning and history behind every custom.
Their introduction to Russian culture, crafts and folk costumes was so enlightening and a must-see for anyone who'd like to learn more about traditional Russian life and values.
We also got a tour of their beautiful gardens, built on a peaceful property with nature all around us. It was really like talking a step back in time - when life was more simple, natural and authentic.

Then came time for tea from a real samovar! I had seen pictures of samovars before but to see it in action was a lovely experience and so much fun for kids to learn. The homemade honey cookies with tea were so delicious!

This would be a great experience for anyone - from families, to school groups to anyone who is curious to learn more about Russian traditions. We loved our time at Vene Talu!
