We booked the night canoetrip starting at 8.30 pm and ended around 11.30 pm. The nature was beautiful and Aivar, our guide was incredibly friendly and explained a lot about the nature and culture of estonia. Would absolutely recommend to anybody visiting estonia.

We had an amazing 3 hours bog walking tour. Even we planned it in the evening before there was no problem to get reservation for the next day. And it was totally worth it! We have never done this activity before ( only on snow) and it was such a fun. Surpassingly it wasn’t so tiring as you don’t use bog walks all the time.
Also the nature there is beautiful and peaceful.
If you like nature, go for it!

We had an amazing hike with bog shoes through the Ingatsi bog of Soomaa. We discovered the beautiful bog landscape from a completely new perspective and Aivar told us all the secrets about the plants and the wildlife of the bog.

The hike ended with a refreshing swim in the book lake.

We booked an evening tour in April, the 5th season was nearly over so the views were not as stunning as the website made out. Nevertheless a good tour with a knowledgeable guide and we heard lots of birds and watched the sunset. We had a last minute change of meeting place, beware of bad internet/phone reception in the national park so it was only luck that led us to find the new meeting spot. Also the website said an evening meal was included which was not the case, so we went to bed hungry. The organiser said that this was a mistake and only day tours have a meal included. Why it was called an evening meal, I do not know, so would advise checking as there are no shops nearby either meeting point.

We had a marvellous experience joining a "Day in the Wilderness" tour. The saff is professional, welcoming and friendly.

Edu was our guide for the bog shoeing and canoeing activities: he's outstanding! He's a very genuine person who loves nature and is capable of making you understand the wild life of the park with a very good sense of humour. All the group liked him very much as a guide.

For me and my 12 years old nephew, this day and experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Estonia.

I absolutely recommend it!

We did 3 hours night trip along the river, and the tour was breathtaking. The tour guide had great knowledge about the area. I would highly recommend it and will go again in the winter for different adventures.
I would suggest to bring mosquito repellent, long pants and shorts even when it’s hot. Next time I even will bring light cloves/long socks as the mosquitoes love you and take every opportunity to bit you. They provided a net for your head which was needed.
We only collect great memories and will recommend to all my friends.

Our 6-hour tour with guide Jane and driver Kaspar was one of the highlights of our trip to Estonia. Jane is extremely knowledgeable and sincerely loves being a guide. The pickup from our hotel in Parnu was punctual and the entire day was thoroughly enjoyable and worry-free.

We rented a canoe in off season and it couldn't have been a better experience. The men we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. We were driven up stream and we canoed back down to the centre and our car. Perfect! The equipment was all in good condition and the trip was beautiful. Would definitely recommend!

This is a terrific 3-day self-guided trip. We did it with our three children aged 12, 12 and 14 and we all loved it. Day 1 is a 45km cycle through back roads and picturesque countryside. The cycling is flat and easy and the bikes supplied are comfortable and well maintained. We stopped to swim in the Parnu river and see the attractions along the way. Our bags were transported by the bicycle rental people when they drove up to collect the bikes. Two nights accomodation in a lovely log cabin with its own sauna were included. Day 2 is a cruisy 14km flatwater paddle downriver back to the accommodation. There are opportunities to see beaver lodges and go walking up onto the bog. The bog is amazing (and mosquito free!). Swimming in the deep bog holes is a must. Day 3 is a 13km paddle downriver from the accommodation with a walk on the Riisa bog and more bog hole swimming. At the end we collected our gear and were dropped off in Viljandi (a beautiful medieval town that is definitely worth visiting). The whole trip was relaxed and peaceful. Aivar and Algis are very laid back and good sources of local information. We highly recommend this trip.

Tips: the trip is self-catered so buy food in Parnu before setting off as the nearest shop is 8km from the accommodation. Take sunscreen and insect repellent.

Had a chance to visit Soomaa end of September. It was cold but it was worth it. Walk through the National Park, did some canoeing, tried the best local Estonian food, walked through 10,000 years old bogs. If you go there i suggest contact Aivar Ruukel, he will give you a true local insight to the park.
