Cozy little bar, well-located and not overcrowded – just a hidden gem in Vilnius. Interesting stories about unique cocktails (or classics with a twist), attention to the details (just ask how many ingredients are homemade!), friendly staff, and good value for money. Bonus: micheladas and alcohol-free drinks. Definitely one of the best bars in Vilnius.…

We spent one night in Vilnius and happened to stay at the hotel very close. In the late evening it was the only place we saw from a distance already (people sitting outside at candle-lights). Bar's outside-seats are in a small park, inside (quite small) there was no reason to be in a warm summer evening. In a case of rain there are big table-umbrellas for bigger tables. Outside-area was pretty crowded but still with some free tables. And there was a enjoyable sound of people talking, laughing etc. We fully enjoyed being there. It seems to be a popular place and for a reason. About drinks - I like beer. Selection was not big but dark and lager of Genys (Lithuanian craft beer) were both really good, congrats to the brewer! I still do not think that 0,3 beer should cost 5.- eur but salty cookies were included for the 1st order and water also.…

The drinks were amazing and the service was even better. The bartenders knew what they were doing and made sure that everyone was taken care of during our visit. The prices are a bit higher than average in Vilnius, but the adept bartenders made the whole experince worth it.

I am going to post this review on three different sites, as it pertains to three bars in Vilnius that are top notch and in some way connected. Our evening began with a visit to Apoteca. This bar is quite small and located about two minutes on foot from the old market hall. The décor is rustic with both bar and high table seating available. The establishment can only accommodate as many guests as there are seats, so please be aware of that. The cocktail menu is quite varied, but what stood out was a drink called the “Forager” – it has some woodsy ingredients and is topped with a Porcini foam. I never actually tasted a cocktail with that much umami ever – but very creative and delicious. Overall, five stars for quality and creativity, The next bar on the list was Alchemikas which is in the northwest portion of the old town. It exudes a much more posh atmosphere, with velvet seats and much darker décor. The menu is extensive and ranges from classics to the bar’s own creations. Absinthe drips are also available. Cocktails were expertly crafted and of high quality. Five stars for quality and service. While sitting at the bar, we met a gentleman who had been involved in both Apoteka and Alchemikas, and he told us about his affiliation with a newer bar called Nomads. So we had no choice but to check out…. Nomads is located on the main street of the Old Town just north of the town square. Like Alchemikas, it has a warm interior with velvet seats and a beautiful bar. The bar staff generates special drink menus along with serving any of the classics one may wish to have. The theme of the month was dance, and the cocktails were inspired accordingly, with ingredients inspired by various dances across the world. Here, we had probably the best cocktails of the night- both in terms of quality and presentation. I guess red beet amaro is now one of my new favorite ingredients. Superb! Five stars. So there you have a plan for a three stop cocktail bar hop in Vilnius!…
