My first ever hot air balloon ride with Smile Balloon went off without a hitch. I wanted a flight over Vilnius city but it seemed that was not permitted because of increased airplane flights there. So we flew over Trakai. We were picked up from our hotel in Vilnius and returned there. The pilot answered all our questions about the mechanics of ballooning as we floated over the region. We received certificates after the traditional champagne sipping on landing. A very memorable user friendly experience! Only thing missing was a picture of all of us in the basket - there were 8 of us plus the pilot - before we lifted up. We did our booking by phone and were lucky to find empty slots at very short notice for the early morning flight. The operators - twin brothers — were courteous and friendly,

Booked a Saturday morning flight and it was amazing. The two boys are great. Vytas was our pilot, lovely guy. Very weird landing and walking a balloon up a hill but it was class. The views on a clear morning are unreal. The story and champagne after it were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel air balloon flight was worth every penny. The smile team deserve every little praise. From the moment we sent the first email to book our flight to the moment we were dropped off back to our hostel, they made sure to be as nice and as helpful as possible. They called on the morning of the flight to tell us over which destination we were going to fly since destination depends on wind direction. We were lucky to have gotten Trakai which in my opinion was the best view we could get. They picked us up and took us to meet our pilot for the flight. He was really patient and made sure to include us in setting up the balloon and explaining all safety rules. The flight went great and the view was breath-taking. Once the flight was over the pilot closes off with a small baptism ceremony for all passengers onboard the balloon and we were even given a certificate and a glass of wine. If you're ever visiting Lithuania, make sure to book your flight. It's a definite must-do! Make sure you have payment in cash prepared from beforehand as payment by card is not possible.

We went on a flight with Vitas, one of Lithuania's greatest pilots and such a kind guy in general. The day was clear and gorgeous and we flew over lakes that were half frozen, totally magical. We could not have gotten a more wonderful experience! So recommended!

We booked a morning flight over the old town for our first morning in Vilnius (so we had back-up dates if the weather did not co-operate). As it turned out the weather was very poor and from WhatsApp communications with Albertas he indicated that even without the rain, the wind would not allow old town flights for the entire week (until long after we were gone). But the day before our arrival he advised there was a chance that they would be able to fly over Trakai the following evening and he confirmed this the next day (our choice to accept this alternative offer). So we left the old town around 7.30pm and made our way out through farmland to the launch site. Along the way we stopped to set off a small balloon to check wind direction and speed (not sure if it had a small gps tracker on board or whether they just used a compass to follow the path). This was so they could determine which of several possible launch sites would ensure we passed over Trakai. And the pilot operated it to perfection, passing just to the south of the castle, with the late afternoon (it was early July) light shining on the castle giving perfect viewing conditions, from down low and a bit higher up. After the obligatory champagne while the crew packed the balloon, it was nearly 11pm by the time we arrived back in Vilnius.

The four of us have never experienced a ride in a Hot Air Balloon, and we didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely fantastic! Our leader Vytas and his brother have done a super job. They were friendly, polite, attentive and very supportive. The views from above were beautiful. Highly recommended.

I can highly recommend Smile Balloons for a hot airballoon experience in Vilnius. We received responses to our anxious questions very quickly on whatsapp. The flight and preparations seemed professionally organised and our pilot was highly experienced. We were on the same ride with a local family of four + one other tourist, so the pilot mostly chatted in Lithuanian during the flight. We would have also been interested in hearing some of it in English, but the places probably meant more for the locals. Anyhow, a wonderful experience!

When we got out of the airport our first sight was the hot air balloons in the clear Vilnius skies. On checking the internet ,the one truly accessible to me was the Smile Balloons....they were contactable via WhatsApp.
This was the only means I had as I didn't have a working mobile connection.
I was in touch with them almost immediately and once the weather turned out to behave we were ready to board.
A very tactful firing up of the hot air balloon...to the flying and landing helped us have such a beautiful first time experience .
Then, the baptism ceremony, a treat for us including the certification was one thing we thoroughly treasure...
The pilot is very experimental and well equipped along with his support team..a 5 star to them...
SO VISITORS IN VILNIUS...DON'T HESITATE...PICK THIS SMILE.....
U WON'T REGRET....

Recently we visited Lithouania where we had the opportunity to experience a ride with a hot air balloon.
We chose Smile balloon ... a wise decision!!
Our guide named Vytas was absolutely amazing and he made our ride a life time experience.
He explained us everything about hot air balloon.
Although you are in the air you feel very safe with Vytas as a driver.
Every person of our group really enjoyed the ride and we surly recommend everyone to try it.
P.S. Landing is the Best !!!

On this day we are planing flight in the evening, in Trakai. Meeting time can be at 19.00 o clock. Place we can tell you in the flight day, usually it is Trakai bus station. Flight will took 1 hour, all will took about 2,5 hours. Price is 99 eur. for 1 person. How many persons you are ?
