The work, and workmanship - on display in the windows at Terra Recognita drew me in on my first visit to Vilnius.
Since then I've gone back several times, unfortunately I've never been 'rich enough' to purchase (even though these handmade pieces of art/jewellery are not as expensive as you might imagine) but someday, I will.
If you appreciate really fine handmade, jewellery created with genuine love and passion - from a master artist - I shall say no more.
Walk past the windows, take a glance in, and I guarantee you'll be hooked as a fan for life.

I wanted something different. I'd had my fill of amber and was seeking contemporary work by Lithuanian artists. This is the place to go! I had wonderful service from a young woman who highlighted a few pieces for me as she explained the artist's work. The owner joined us to show me some simple post earrings by the same artist that would match the necklace I was interested in. She also completed the VAT forms so that I got a tax return at the airport when I left.

I was astonished by this little gallery in one of the cosiest streets of Vilnius.
Anyone can find something close to their hearts here. To be honest, it might take you some time as everything is simply beautiful. During my visit I got 4 rings, a necklace and a bunch of earrings which you can actually mix and match yourself.
I wanted to thank Grasilda & Lina who made my visit even more pleasing. I've been introduced to the artist himself and hat a lovely chat with the ladies.

The jewelry is beautiful, but the service is poor. Unpleasant consultant, serves customers based on their appearance. If you don't look fashanble, they will treat you as a customer without money. Preference is given to foreigners over locals.

Extraordinary jewellery. Cannot find anything even closely similar to what you can discover in this gallery anywhere else. Every piece is like a small art sculpture with a deep meaning behind it. If you’re looking for something Lithuanian to bring back from your trip, make sure to visit this place!

The gallery is located in one of the small streets of the Vilnius old town. While walking by I saw beautiful jewelry pieces in the front window. After comming inside there was so much more beautiful things to see: cozy small space, in which you can find sculptures and jewelry - art to look and to wear. The lady who worked there kindly explained all the stories behind the pieces.
Another interesting aspect in this gallery is that it is one artist - Saulius Vaitiekūnas - gallery and many pieces there are made from natural Baltic sea stone. I really loved the unique concept and unusual materials.
I recommend to visit this gallery if you'll happen to be in the Vilnius old town:).
