A standard meet up spot for locals, the Town Hall is a pretty average classical building painted with muted colors. The surrounding square has mostly Soviet classical buildings, though when painted creatively they blend and look older than they appear. Mostly full of tourist of bourgeois businesses, there is just a few things worth stopping for any local.

The Town Hall hosts various events, exhibitions, and events. It is always in the heart of adventure in Old Town.
The neoclassical Town Hall was at some point served as the city's theater and staged the first ever opera.
The weekend that I was there, there was a festival of folk dances and songs. It was lively and vibrant to see the dancers wearing their traditional attires.

This is a nice neoclassical building in the middle of town, close to everything. It's very noticeable as a landmark, and there's a visitors' information center inside as well.

This Neo Classical building was designed by the same architect as the Cathedral in Vilnius, and was constructed at the end of the 18th Century. It is the focal point of the square bearing the same name.
We've gone by there at least a dozen times, as often, we had to pass it on our way to somewhere else. The square itself is expansive, and is surrounded by upscale shops, restaurants and cafes. Lovely place for a stroll. The "Rotušė" (Town Hall) itself, is interesting because of its history, and architecture.
We were disappointed with the inside. After making our way up the large staircase (no elevator here), there were only two large rooms, which seem to be rented out for events. In one room, graduation ceremonies were going on (6/28). The other room was barren except for some sparse uninteresting modern art on the walls. And that is all you can see upstairs. Certainly not worth tackling all those stairs for that. Downstairs, also, there is nothing but modern art, and bathrooms. Not even a spot to sit down.
If you come to Vilnius, you must see it, but, there really is no need to go inside, unless you need to use the restroom.

It’s in the center of old town and has a huge square in front of it. There was a band setting up when I went by. It looked nice but not as ornate as many old town centers.

This is the life blood of old town. It's massive gathering area in front of the building indicates how full it can get. It looks majestic!

Located in the heart of old town, this building really stood out in the heart of the smaller Christmas market. The architectural design is beautiful with Roman columns on the front.

Visited this fourteenth century Town Hall where an event was going on. Plenty of people coming in and out. The plaza-type square to the Hall’s fore is large and there are plenty of coffee shops and other amenities nearby. The fountain wasn’t in operation disappointingly.

The Town Hall was first mentioned in 1432 and was initially a Gothic style building. Since then it has been reconstructed a few times and the present Town Hall building was rebuilt in 1799 in the neoclassical style and has remain unchanged since then. Its Gothic cellars have been preserved and tourists can visit the same.In the present era Town Hall is used for representational purposes as well as for the meeting of foreign officials and rulers visiting Vilnius. President George.Walker.Bush and Queen Elizabeth II have been a few of the most prominent guests at Town Hall.
