Great tour of Vilnius which we hadn't visited before. Only here for 24 hours and the bike tour was exactly the right thing to do. Franka's led us thru the city, both the old part but also the upcoming area's and other parts. His tour was nice, his sense of humor completed the package. The bikes were of good quality and also available for taller people.
If you are in Vilnius and want to get to know the city, this is the way to go!

Very informative tour. Frankas gives the info in a very spontaneous and humorous way. He also gave us some extra tips to do in Vilnius. We will definitely come back.

Really informative and interesting tour and Frankas was very helpful. I got to see some parts of Vilnius that I'd never have found otherwise. The cycling isn't strenuous so any fitness level is ok

We’d spent the previous evening walking around Vilnius and had been struggling to get our bearings.
But that all changed when we met Frank, our guide. Frank took us all over the city and beyond, keeping us entertained with stories and anecdotes. Time flew!
I can highly recommend this tour!

Luckily it wasn't raining on the day we did our tour. It was just the 4 of us and we had a wonderful time. I really feel I saw the contrasts of the new and old in the City. Lunch was super cheap and very tasty at an authentic restaurant. Was so glad we got to see so much of the city. Thanks Frank!

Frank led my wife and me on a wonderful tour of Vilnius. Before we started the tour, he asked about our interests and where we had already been in the city, and he customized the tour based on that information. The logistics went smoothly for us, and the bikes worked well.
As a native German who has been living in Lithuania for over twenty years, Frank has a broad perspective on the country, its people and the culture. He is very knowledgeable about Lithuania's complex history, answering all of our many questions with informative responses. His lively explanations, spiced with personal interpretations, brought the city's history to life, and helped us to understand the forces still at work shaping the country.
Highlights of the tour, in addition to the Old Town, included Soviet-era neighborhoods in the north of the city, a village of old wooden houses nestled between modern skyscrapers, and Vilnius's beautiful parks.
I would recommend this tour highly to anyone interested in having a fun bike ride that leads to a more in-depth understanding of Vilnius and Lithuania than can be found in the typical guide book.

Our guide Frankas took us on the contrasts tour giving us local insight into the city and to places we would possibly have missed ( republic/village ) . stopping at a lovely restaurant in an unusual place for some traditional (and cheap) dishes. the 4-5 hours passed so quickly and although a couple of hills had to be walked up We would highly recommend.

Clearly 5 stars! The owner gave us very valuable tips about the city and beautiful routes around Vilnius. He knows the country and the people very well and told us many things about the Lithuanian culture and about beautiful places we should visit. Furthermore, the owner of the bicycle rental provides all route maps on the internet, so I suggest to download the map and to use it on your tour. The bicycles were in an excellent condition. Before starting the tour, the employees adjusted the saddle height and the brakes. Based on this friendly, high quality service, I can highly recommend this bike rental for your trip in Vilnius!

Do you rent our ebikes and if yes how much do they cost for 24 hours?
FrankasW
Vilnius, Lithuania8 contributions
Usually not. We have several very essential ones, but we mainly use them for our city tours. Their batteries only last up to 35km. So there are only fine for rides in the city. If you are fine wiht that, we rent them for 24EUR/24 hrs (Deposit140EUR).
If you are looking for something more fancy I recommend to you to try rentebike.lt.
Greetings, Frankas

Vilnius, Lithuania8 contributions
Hello!
Sure. Usually we start our tour at 11 a.m. (daily without Sundays until Sept. 15th)
Don't worry, it's easy cycling.
There are two parts in the tour: Old town / Uzupis and
"the other side" (to see how people are living. Price of the short tour is 17EUR, of the long one 22EUR (min. 2 participants).
The easiest is to write us some days in advance info@velovilnius.lt
See you

Hey just wondering if you had anyone else booked on a tour for the 9th June? I'm on my own and says the tour only runs with two people? Thanks
FrankasW
Vilnius, Lithuania8 contributions
Hello!
No problem: Some people come spontaneously and just show up (11 a.m. at our office Pylimo St. 31). I have nobody registered by now, but that's likely to change, because it's a Saturday and weekends are usually quite busy. You can also write an e-mail to info@velovilnius.lt and I'll keep you up to date.
