Super poetic and interesting, not only for art lovers. It just livens your day up. "Street" or rather "wall" art dedicated to writers, translators and others connected to Lithuanian and world literature. It's almost like a street gallery..

You need a guide to eplain the meaning of the different artworks to make it understandable. There are funny stories behind them.

Writers, mostly Lithuanian, commemorated by artwork set into the walls of a street. Worth a walkthrough while visting Old City

It started in 2009 as a temporary exhibition. It has now been a permanent fixture. In order to get a plaquette on the wall, you have to be a writer or poet with a strong cultural connection to Lithuania. Why this street? Because it used to have a lot of bookstores and antique shops. They are long gone. The artworks... More

This is an interesting site and execution for artwork... Sort of like an outdoor art gallery. Worth a stop in if you're wandering around!

A small street with walls covered with tributes to writers who have had any influence (positive or negative) on Lithuanian literature.

It's like a permanent exhibition in street. Every work is like a small separate masterpiece and you can see indication to what artist it was dedicated in the list next on the wall.

It contains art works on the walls that pay tribute to authors not necessarily of Lithuanian origin but who had anything to do with Lithuania...like Thomas Harris whose character Hannibal Lector was Lithuanian...one of the cooler spots in old town

This is a unique street that goes on and on with mementos of famous Lithuanian writers as well as international writers who ever wrote, visited, or had something to say about the country.

The art works are fixed to the walls of this street. They are generally small in size, but many are very brightly coloured. My guide could not say how or why the display had been created. I would describe the majority of creations as pretty and indicative of a still developing style and technique.
