WE were on a excursion landed here at the end had a great beer locally brewed and the market place was full of people selling amber and more amber. We walked around the city and saw the few sights locally

You don’t need long to walk around the Old Town whilst it was enjoyable, I personally didn’t feel there was a lot to see.

The old city flanks the waterfront and has a selection of old buildings skirted by cobbled streets. Not user friendly if unsteady on your feet as even the paved areas are uneven. Very pretty with a market selling Amber products and beautiful linen products.

Even though it is quite difficult to walk because they are all cobblestone roads but you can see many half-timbered houses and small sculptures all over.

Arrived here on a cruise and decided to take a walk around the old city. There was little to see or do. Most unpreprossessing. This is the first time on a cruise that I've been on where the ship left early because everyone was back...More

We visited for a girls weekend celebrating St John’s/Midsummer. We found a river walk leading to the port area and many restaurants and shops. Cobblestone streets lead to a theater plaza which also is surrounded by restaurants. On Sunday evening there was dancing and music...More

Walked from our hotel (Radisson Blu) to the old town, it was a 15 minute stroll. It's small just a few old buildings and cobbled streets. Sat out drinking coffee

Yes, about 10 minutes and there was an open market when we were there. Make sure you get a walking tour map.

Hi! No hop-on-hop-off-bus necessary in Klaipeda as the Old City is very compact and lovely to walk around. Please check the official homepage of Klaipeda City for any special events and do not miss the visit to their Sea... More
