If you are traveling through and need a short break, this is a good one. The whole place is very compact. There is convenient parking close by. The views of the city are pretty. Climb down into the dungeons and up into the throne room....More

Lovely castle but quite small. The castle had a small exhibition of its history and small art exhibition. The tickets were quite cheap.

Although the Castle looks lovely from the outside, I have to say that I found the inside decidedly underwhelming. Considering this is meant to be Lithuania's most visited attraction (outside of Vilnius of course), there is very little to see or do here and my...More

The castle and surroundings in the old town are well worth a visit! It was a lovely day so we sat a while before going round the castle! One of the upper chambers was done out like a court and the lower floor was a...More

Not much to see it is rebuilt and just a little tower. I had the luck of going when a politician was announcing if he is running so there was a larger than normal crowd but really not much to see

The surroundings and the castle itself are worth seeing. It’s located near the old town, where two rivers meets, and is a perfect place to relax. There are plenty of churches, restaurants and bars in a walking distance. You can have unforgettable photo session near...More

Kaunas castle is well preserved and rebuilt. It gives a good insight into life in medieval times. Beautiful surroundings and easy to navigate. Well worth a look

That's a really beautiful castle. It is definitely worth to see. Also, the new "Vytis" sculpture is really impressive too.

Small exposition of history but very interesting one. Tour could be done in 20 min, but considering only small part of castle is still standing, it was nice place to visit.
