Jaukus namai or Cosy Homes, located just a bit further away from the Kauans Old Town is worth the visit. A splendid place for stylish home textile lovers – from lovely and very cute tote bags to sofisticated tablecloths, just name it. Majority of the products are made from the linen fabric and the shop owners can tell you every small detail how everything was made. However you can also find pretty and unique ceramics works (the cups are just striking!), stylish accessories and very warm woollen blankets. The staff is very friendly and have many stories to tell, the atmosphere fits the name – Cosy Homes. The place itself is easy to find and you can reach it by car or by public transport, the bus stop is just 2 minutes away.

We went there in January. The place is not the usual tourist linen shop. Those who run it can explain everything about the linen culture in Lithuania and they are very nice. They also plane very interesting workshops for visitors. We can find any kind of product in linen: for table, homes and even clothes. It was a real interesting visit!

As a regular guest, it's always a great pleasure to visit the salon Jaukūs Namai. Everyone is met with warm attention here and invited to share stories while enjoying delicious tea, if there's enough time! It's not just a regular shopping place - a visit to the salon will definitely be a fantastic and fulfilling experience.
I also strongly recommend Jaukūs Namai as the best place to find presents and souvenirs in Kaunas. The salon offers a wide selection of high quality linen goods, from coasters and handkerchiefs to curtains, tablecloths and bedding, and it also showcases extraordinary and original art pieces and products from local brands. You can choose from various stylish and exquisite designs, and the staff will always be ready to help with recommendations.
And if you're interested in linen history and traditional linen making techniques or want to introduce it to your friends, the salon's owner will showcase the traditional tools and tell you more about the linen traditions in Lithuania.
All in all, Jaukūs Namai is definitely a must visit place in Kaunas, both for the experience and the goods. And be on a lookout - you might be lucky to join one of the salon's cosy events!

I've been there so many times during studying abroad. The owner was so kind for Japanese students as well. She often invited me to some events.
I bought some souvenirs every time I visited this linen store. It's located a little bit far away from the city center, but it worth to visit!!! If you have time and want to find something Lithuanian, I strongly recommend you to this store.

A great place with a special aura! Very friendly and helpful owners, who can tell you a lot about linen and its articles. A wide variety of items: from traditional Lithuanian linen towels to works of Lithuanian artists and hand-made accessories. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kaunas!

If your fate would take you to Kaunas, visit the "Cozy Home". Here you will find my buddies who will make you a fragrant herbal tea and tell you about the linen road. You will learn art, history news, and be rewarded with a dose of kindness, warmth and humor. Time will pass, not only will you buy a gift for yourself or your loved ones, but you will also become friends. Friends for life.

Cosy home – great place not only to get some unique, quality souvenirs, gifts or something cosy for your home, but also place to meet hospitable hosts, who are ready to advice you sincerely or tell more about Kaunas and give recommendations for your pleasant stay in Kaunas.
