I had walked across this a few times going back and forth from the B&B to the old town and didn't realize it was an attraction. It is a local park that is used mostly from actual city locals. There were a lot of families there utilizing the area which is always nice to see when visiting new places. There are a few statues and fountains along the park which may be worth seeing.

The Christmas market (my 7th) wrapped up my mediocre day trip to Budapest, a waste of a day thanks to the unskilled tour guide, Simeon. The stalls here are the same you'd find pretty much anywhere; pricey mulled cider and booze, sausages, and trinkets and souvenirs you can find cheaper in regular shops. I do appreciate how these markets have family friendly rides and activities for children. My friend and I treated ourselves to an overpriced a non-alcoholic apple cider and it wasn't bad. We returned the cheap plastic tumblers to get our 2€ back. In Vienna drinks are served in cute, heavy mugs if you choose to keep them.

A part of Bratislava suitable for a pleasant walk and next to plenty of restaurants, fountains and park benches where you can sit down for a while. There was also an art exhibition when I was there, but it is probably not permanent. Sitting down and watching people's life, maybe eating an ice cream is a good thing to do.

Hviezdoslavovo námestie is a public square in Bratislava Old Town, between the Most SNP Bridge in the west and the Slovak National Theater in the east. The square is named after Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, whose monument is also in the square.

The square is an important and lively spot in Bratislava. The aforementioned Slovak National Theater, several upmarket hotels including the Radisson Blu Carlton, Devin and Avance, as well as several embassies. On the north side of the square are mostly bars and restaurants.

It’s a nice square to wander around both night and day, and a very popular tourist spot especially for the photogenic opportunities including the opera house and the water feature in the square. At night much of the square and many of the buildings are beautifully lit up and the square looks fantastic.

It''s a really nice square in Old Town, it's very long and quite wide and has plenty of nice restaurants and shops and also some interesting fountains and sculptures, very popular with tourists. It also hosts a very nice Christmas Market, definitely worth the visit.

A very nice pedesrtian area at the edge of old town, for tourists and locals too, to walk, relax, eat or have a coffee/beer at the restaurants near by.There are some handicrafts shops, a chess game and also a children's playground.

We visited Bratislava in early March and spent a bit of time in the Hviezdoslav Square, an area which apparently has been a center of activity in this area for over a thousand years.

The square today provides a nice place to stroll. It is treelined and features some neo-classical and neo-renaissance buildings, a few fountains and statues and is anchored by the attractive Slovak National Theatre. There are quite a few restaurants, a few bars and generally nice people watching opportunities in this area of the city.

We found the Hviezdoslav Square area to be quite pleasant, a nice compliment to the main square in the hear of the city center as well as the surrounding streets.

Hint: at the opposite end of the square from the Slovak National Theatre, there is a bus station with some very creative (spray-paint) art work on the bridge pillars and bridge underpasses. These were very interesting and fun to take pictures of.

There are many significant squares in Bratislava and Hviezdoslavovo Namestie is definitely one of the most significant with its fair share of impressive buildings as well as a good number of statues and many restaurants, it all adds up to being a very nice part of the city to explore or just chill out. It gets extremely busy especially on the Saturday afternoon that we were there.
