Found this little shop while walking around Bratislava and went because it advertised Slovakian products. On walking in it looks like a shop from about late in the 1800's which makes it interesting but even more interesting was discovering at the back of the shop a little museum specialising in cash registers and some other items. If you are in... More

A little museum/shop selling various items and holding a beautiful collection of cash registerers going back to 1909. There was a time when things like this were beatiful and functional. Now it's all iPad fancy pants stuff and it's a shame.

OH my, what a find!! Our sweet city guide took us by this little shop and we were so happy that she did! Best chocolate and LOCALLY made items for the sweetest souvenirs. And a little museum of sorts too. The folks there are very very kind and interesting to talk with and do speak very good English. We took... More

If you do decide to visit Bratislava, make sure to check out this incredible shop full of authentic Slovak products ranging from the best of vines to the best of chocolates. You will be pleasantly surprised by the nostalgic feel and look of the shop. This is a must see. Greetings from Cardiff! - Tomas Barsvary <3

Reported to be the oldest shop in Bratislava. It's certainly the most quaint. Out tour guide pointed it out and told us to come back. We did and THIS is the place to buy those Slovakian dolls and keepsakes. They are all locally made and most are handmade. Plus the pastries in the bakery are great.

This place is worth the extra mile. Do not go to Bratislava without stopping there! The couple who runs the shop is really kind. In addition, you can see beautiful vintage cash registers.

I was on a tour of Bratislava and this is the last place I visited. There is a museum showing vintage piece of equipment of the retail and consumer trade. I really liked the Slovak signs of commercial products--as I recollected there were some for sale! I should have bought one. I found great things that I wanted either for... More

The owners run the shop. All of the items are hand-made in Slovakia. The owner explained to me that she meets with the craftsmen/women and personally selects the goods that are sold in her shop. They are of the highest quality. Please, please, please, please, please do NOT NOT NOT go to one of the cheapo Russian owned souvenir shops... More

It not well known place. Museum where you can feel the spirit of old shop of Bratislava and even BUY some merchandise styled as it was at that times. You SHOULD try a local cake Pishinger. That was something overwhelming! The taste was just unbelievably delicious! There is also an exposition of old Cash register machines, Ice makers and other... More
