It's more of a museum but in still retains the castle look. Is nice and really fun to hunt you're friends if you lost each other :-))

This imposing building rarely leaves your eyeline. Its a magnificent imposing building that has been beautifully restored with a blend of old and new design. Many exhibitions and cultural events are held here or in the side buildings on the complex. Great view night or day of the city and impressive statues at the gates.

It is quite a steep hill to walk up, but worth it! Great views, especially at sun down. Nice bars and pubs at the base of the hill, in fact all over the Old Town area of Bratislava.

We visited the castle as part of a city tour and there were a lot of tourists there. The castle is mainly rebuilt and apart from some art exhibits, etc, inside it is the exterior that most people see. The most impressive part for me was the good views of the old town and river.

it's a amazing attraction to take a view of the entire city and the far end wind mills. but yes sad to know that it was once ruined due to fire. it is renovated very nicely Government is supporting a lot to maintain such heritages

To have been built in the era that it was, only to succumb to a fire and loose so much of the interior. I am happy that the government wants to redo the interior and they are working to do this over the many years it may take to be true to the period.

I didn't know much about the castle so I was pretty surprised once I arrived and noticed that it was mainly reconstructed. Walls, walkways, gardens, everything seems pretty new and modern so I really missed the typical historical castle atmosphere. Might still be interesting for some target groups but for myself I didn't stay there for long. The view at... More

The museum needs work. There was little of interest to anyone who isn't Slovakian. The castle is - due to a fire - mostly a rebuild/not original. The art was not well-curated or explained. There's really not much to see, at all. The view from the castle was great, and it's only a fifteen minute climb up some winding alleyways... More

My partner and I visited here today , I wasn't sure what to expect and to be honest , I think I was probably expecting a lot more , the only part of the castle you could access was the museum , as for the rest , you couldn't get into see , so it was time spent on the... More
