If you are coming to Bratislava you must visit this place and the surrounding buildings. All over Europe there are beautiful old town centres and this is no exception. The exterior is stunning during the day but even better at night when lit up.

I was eager to visit this place as soon as i saw the photos online. However, they were removing the kiosks of the Christmas market when we went there and there was total chaos! Cars, trunks and labors all over the place and we couldn't even take photos because of the mess! I still can't figure out why they don't... More

it is an essential part of Bratislava, with graphical buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants. It is easy accesible on foot and pleasant for a walk among other people enjoing their time there.

What a fantastic time of year to visit Bratislava. This quaint and charming town caught me by surprise. Main square is bustling during the day and lively at night, with the Christmas Market being the focal point and tastefully illuminated buildings serving as a backdrop. Traditional foods like punsch, sausage, pork sandwiches, strudels, langos and crepes are served at food... More

Visited the main square of the old town in late Nov as it was being prepared for the annual Christmas market. As a result, however, it looked more like a construction site than a functioning main square. Obviously still an essential part of a visit to Bratislava though.

Still there's something going on. In winter there are Christmas markets along with music concerts in the summer there are various leisure activities.

Cute little bronze statue peeping out of the ground on the street corner watching the world go by. Be careful if it's busy as you might miss him. I didn't see him the first time I passed by

Purpose of the visit was to see the Christmas market. There was a good range of stalls, although mainly food and drinks, but there were a few with local handcrafted products. There was a huge range of food on offer and what I tried (some kind of long spicy sausage and a pork dish) tasted amazing. The locals seemed to... More
