Bratislava’s main square provides a pleasant and cultural walk. It doesn’t take a lot of time to visit the main square and the attractions around it, all can be seen in less than half a day (in a morning or an afternoon). Among the square,...More

The Bratislava main square (Hlavne Namestie) is a nice place to visit when in Bratislava. It is the most interesting of the three squares we visited and includes some decent attractions worthy checking out as well as some dining and shopping opportunities. Within the square...More

We walked to Hlavne Namestie from the main train station in Bratislava and it took roughly 20-25 minutes. If walking quickly it would probably be shorter, however as a first visit to Bratislava we got distracted by a few things on the way such as...More

Hlavné námestie is the main square in Bratislava. This square is small, cozy and is dating back from the fourteenth century. Many people see this square as the heart of the city. The most important buildings surrounding the square are the Old Town Hall, the...More

It is the center of the historic Old Town and has lots of things to see and do. There are statues, church, city museum and tower, restaurants, shops, and beautiful buildings around. There are several benches to sit down and rest here. Enjoy!

Nice square with fountain and benches to have some rest. I don't recommend the cafes but the winery there.

Well looked after, authentically rough round the edges augmented by 18th century grandeur . Good reference point to bleed out into the areas in old town. Can’t move for American tourists !

This seems to be the heart of the old town, a bustling square with plenty of cafes, restaurants, historic buildings, and a fountain all surrounding it. It’s also the site of an open-air market, which is good to visit if you happen to be there...More

Barely 200 meters from St. Michael's gate, this seemed to be a posh Nemestie. Vast open space, high end eateries, Opera and the charm of the old town - it has all that one can ask for. This is not the place where you go,...More
