This is one of the main squares in the city with several restaurants and shops surrounding it. Much more quiet and peaceful in comparison to Prague or Budapest. Nice place to visit.

I was surprised how spacious and uncrowded this square was with neither a church taking up a portion of its space as sometimes happens in town squares nor market stalls selling fruits, vegetables, and souvenirs. The attractions we were interested in seeing - the old city hall and Primate's Palace - were on one side of the square. From that... More

Our hotel was located on Namestie Square and we loved strolling up and down this pedestrian mall and square enjoying the scenery, restaurants and nice trees. It was very busy yet very peaceful. Nice place to take a time out.

This the centre of old town. The town main square and town hall. It's got the various embassies all around it and all kinds of souvenir shops , restaurants very typical of all centre of town.

We strolled along here, ice cream in our hands and enjoyed the beautiful buildings. It looked like Walt Disney had his hands on the design as it was so captivating to our three kids. We did explain that this was real! Sitting by the fountain you could just watch the world go by and not feel time passing. Thoroughly recommend... More

This square is the main center of many smaller concerts and great place to shop or dine. This place is the most crowded during Christmas time with many stalls and a great atmosphere. About 50m from the square is the famous Irish pub.

I have yet to visit a square quite like this. After the hustle and bustle of Old Square Prague the day before,it was nice to visit the centre which was so quiet and peaceful in comparison.Lovely restaurants, decent bars, beautiful buildings and the statue make up the square. We really enjoyed our visit. Visited 3rd may 2016.

This simple but lovely plaza serves as the central reference point for city center Bratislava. It is elegant in its simplicity. Anchored by Maximilian Fountain, the statue of Napoleon and the Old Town Hall are the other notable features. There are several worthwhile restaurants and some interesting shops on the square as well. Mostly, however, this is a great place... More

A smallish square that looked beautiful at night in a snowy setting. You get a real feel about how Bratislava was in the past. The cafes looked traditional around the square but they did looked touristy as well.
