Alternative tourist agency offering minivan and retro car trips in...

Alternative tourist agency offering minivan and retro car trips in Bratislava and surroundings for unbeatable prices. Visiting Bratislava for only 1 day? Not enough time to explore authentic suburbs of Bratislava yourself? Then join our 2-hour or 4-hour Post socialist Bratislava city tour. Not enough time to get the taste of Slovakia? Then join our Slovak Village Pub Crawl. Tired of the city rush? Try Little Danube Canoe Trip. Longing for travelling back to the past? Visit spooky ruins during our 1-day castle tours. However, having stayed only in Bratislava, you can hardly say you have seen authentic Slovakia. Allow yourself 2 days or more to explore mountainous areas off-the-beaten-track. For real nature freaks we have prepared great hiking trips. If you are greedy for mysterious touch with medieval times, you will find it at gloomy castle ruins watching deep Slovak forests from above.

I had booked this bike tour ahead of time with Authentic Slovakia (and BikeBratislava) - Brano was very friendly and helpful. They delivered exactly what they were promising and more! It was an absolutely amazing bike ride along the Danube, crossing the bridge (on a bike path of course), following trails, visiting an actual bunker, getting to the border between... More

My friends and I had a wonderful time on the Post Socialist City Tour. Brano was a great guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We got the chance to se much of Bratislava that we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to see and at the same time learn much about the citys interesting history. Truly recommended this tour!

With just one day to spend in Bratislava, my wife and I wanted to make the most of our short visit. The Post Socialist (Biking) Tour with Brano was the perfect way to see the city and its surroundings and get a full picture of its 20th century history in just a few hours. We lucked out and got Brano... More

We had the pleasure of doing the 4 hour Post Socialist Tour with Juro. He is patient, punctual, funny and very knowledgeable. He took us to places that we would have never gone to on our own. If we ever go back to Bratislava, we will not hesitate to contact Authentic Slovakia for our tours . Dakujem Juro!!

I had a great time in Bratislava overall, but the highlight of my stay was the Post socialist tour with Authentic Slovakia. Together with a nice Dutch couple I spent two hours + in a Skoda from the 1970's with a very knowledgeable and humorous guide (Juro). He really could tie Slovakia's communist past to the present and took us... More

We contracted the "Post Socialist City Tour" and we enjoyed very much. Brano, our tour guide, was an excellent guide, he speaks English very clear so we could understand him very well, (of course good English listen is needed). He brought a book with images which was also very interesting during the tour. I learnt a lot in this tour,... More

I really cannot recommend Authentic Slovakia highly enough. Brano picked me up at the Petrzalka station (I was visiting for a day from Vienna) in and old 1970s Skoda, which was a surprisingly comfortable car, and eventually I finally got the hang of how to open the door!! We visited lots of sights from communist times and also WW2 including... More

Juro was our tour director and he worked hard to make our tour enjoyable and interesting. We visited an early Soviet apartment building, a Soviet market, a World War II bunker, a WWII memorial, an old market place, and a few other sites that provided a perspective of Soviet times in Bratislava. Traveling in a 1971 Skoda added to the... More

This was a fabulous 4 hours that far exceeded our expectations! From the moment we were picked up in the *mint green* Skoda minibus with authentic air conditioning (i.e open windows) we knew this was going to be a fun filled yet factual day. First stop was some communist pre-fab housing then off to a traditional market complete with Pompidiu... More
