It's an old vessel that is overdue an refurbishment. But it's worth a trip if you like odd travel or just need to get from Vienna to Bratislava quickly. Get in early to get the best seats up front. Stick your head out and have a look at the other hydrofoil when you meet up half way to get a... More

It is more romantic to say than the travel itself. There are two ways to go from Veinna to Bratislava: train and boat. We picked the boat to have a different view. The views are very nice and charming, but the river is very dirty. You can see the woods and some pintoresque summer houses. The single ticket costs 25€... More

What a great and fun way to travel from Vienna to Bratislava! We went on a day that was warm and had a bit of sprinkle, but that did not dampen our fun in the slightest. We passed the rain cloud quickly and then enjoyed the upstairs deck while we passed numerous fishing huts and castle ruins. This was so... More

We had traveled in Europe on all types of transportation, so the high speed catamaran down the Danube to Vienna was a nice change. The trip is only 90 minutes long, smooth, clean and in air- conditioned comfort. The scenery on the river was nice, particularly the many fish camps lining the banks of the river.

We really enjoyed watching the boat arrive and depart whilst sitting and relaxing at the amazing terrace bar at the Bratislava ferry port by pier 5. We decided to take a trip and apart from the bit in a lock that they don't warn you about it was a great trip out. Would recommend it and also the brilliant and... More

Get there earlier so you can get good seats in front of the boat with a good view. In general way below my expectations and a bit too expensive (38 eur return from Vienna) if you compare it to the bus prices (abou 1 eur return).

The trips this season started, 20 April. We turned up 21 April half an hour before scheduled departure time. The boat was there and locals told us it should be going. By scheduled departure time, there were no other passengers and, more importantly, no sign of any crew. Avoid. We took the train - quicker, cheaper and the ticket price... More

At €20 one way this worked out cheaper than the two of us getting a taxi to station and two train tickets especially as our hotel (Avance) was only a 5min walk from the boat dock.

Looking for something to do in Vienna we saw an advertisement for a day trip to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. The trip is 75 minutes on a modern catamaran travelling down the Danube. Basic refreshments and toilets are available on board. The trip is pleasant with wooded fore shores, quaint fishing huts and the occasional building and castle. Surprisingly there... More

20 Euros one way (I believe 29Euros for return). Trip takes 90 mins. Less to see on the river bank than had expected. A different way to travel and fun never the less.
