We wanted just jump in for a short visit but after a while we began to be impressed even deeper and deeper. The dolls and the tiny furniture are wonderfully detailed from any kind of homes: palace, civil or shops and all from at least 100 hundred years before. As we finished with the last room we re-visited the first room as if we just understood what treasures we are facing.
There is also a place for playing, and a nice collection of Laszlo Reber, whose name is well-known to the ones who know the Hungarian children books from the previous decades (Janikovszky, Lázár etc.)

Not the place that I would usually go to but the 21st June was free evenings in the museums so I went. What a joy a museum so stylish and well laid out that it took you back not only to your own childhood but to the very essence of what toys were all about. If you are there don't miss it

Unique collection of dolls from 18th and 19th century shown in a bourgeois fashion. My daughters loved the museum. Doll houses which is populated by dolls, furnished with antique furniture and tiny china tableware. One can find tin soldiers as well. Children can rent a Gotz doll and bring it with them when going through the exhibitiom

A very good place for the the children and for adults too. You can see the toys and baby-dolls from long time back.

I visited the museum with my friend and her kids during this year. The museum is well organized, you can find interactive hidden games almost everywhere, everyone enjoyed it, the kids wanted to sleep there :)

It is a great place to visit with young children, and even adults can get some nostalgic moments out of it.

very cool museum, nice to walk and see, but better to spend some time to play with the interactive toys. You can leave the father to play, and walk with the kids to see the dolls:)))))

Located in the old town, this museum offers a large collection of toys from good old Europe.
Due to the variety of the exhibited stuff, adults of virtually any age are likely to enjoy the exhibition.
The building houses a tiny toy shop that has quality toys rather than the regular souvenir shops' cheap cr@p.
The visit can last anywhere between 60 and 120 minutes depending on much you want to see.
It's a good bad weather or very hot day program.

Lot of things to see for girls and boys, too. There is also a small shop if you would buy something. There are regular programs for childrens. It definitely worst to visit.

Stopped in the town to make a break while driving from Budapest to Balaton. The museum itself is very nice, with selection of toys the children could play with. Not a very large place, but good to spend 1-1.5 fun hours, and the price is reasonable.
