- Esther1072018Bolsward, The Netherlands55 contributionsHow nice to swim in a cave, nicely dressed with lights, different baths, water jets etc. You can choose from various baths with different temperatures. Outside a sunbathing area with sun loungers. Given the reviews about all the hustle and bustle we were a bit skeptical. But it wasn't so bad! Although the golden tip is to go early in the morning. The first hour we watched everything and swam around and had the cave almost to ourselves. What was disappointing were all the people who were swimming around with a phone in hand (yes you would only miss something for your socials...) and of course the 'towel' on the sunbeds. In short, nice experience, arrive on time and with 2 hours you have seen it (unless you bring a picnic basket etc). Furthermore, well arranged with free lockers, showers, changing rooms, hair dryers etc.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 16, 2024
- Rémy MToulouse, France2 contributionsThis therm disappointed me a bit, the caves are not as beautiful as we see in the photo. It's not really relaxing for a therm cause there are a lot of noises and people play with balloons in the bath. Moreover we were in the off season so outside pools were closed and inside baths were full of people. Generally baths are not really warm. For the price it's okay but I will not recommend this place if you just want to relax.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 4, 2024
- Curiosity370497371548 contributionsVery nice thermal baths. Different sections with different temperatures. Great atmosphere with the rocks. The only negative point: too few loungers. But otherwise highly recommended. We had dream weather. Minded outdoors at 25 degrees. Just had a great weekend.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 2, 2024

If it were possible to give a minus rating, they would get -10 points. Disgusting place outdated stuck in the 90's. The water was supposed to be 30-35 degrees, it was a maximum of 26. Dirt everywhere you look, people immediately jumped into the pool without showering. There is one buffet where we waited 20 minutes for coffee where the noble lady was totally unwilling and didn't even speak English - no one in the area speaks English or Slovak. As it is spread far and wide and is a short distance from the Slovak border, someone could speak a foreign language. The kitchen? If that's what you can call the area where they serve food that they don't even cook there and just ripen in the microwave, then this place should have been closed by hygiene a long time ago. The prices are high, the quality of the food is zero. After eating ževraj dumplings with meat and sauce, I had digestive problems for 3 days. The caves are nice in the photos, but that was the maximum that was there. Hundreds and even thousands of people milled there in a day, there was no place to sit or stand normally in the pool. If you are thinking of going here, definitely cross it off your to-do list because it is absolutely not worth it. Prices…
meal (if you can call it that) for 4 people plus 2 small teas - €55
admission for the whole day per person approx. €17.50
poor impression and similar experience, never thank you again. Disgusting place with disgusting food and many many many many people…

If you are traveling to the location, it is not really worth a trip. We travelled for over 2 hours just to get to an extremely crowded place on Monday noon.
The cave section is not really big. 1 lazy river that will take you 2 minutes to complete, followed by a few minutes walk to the second section - that can take one around 3 minutes to swim around to fully see everything.
The sauna/spa section is not worth even the few pounds we paid. A few infrared saunas, 3 finish and a steam room that smells of wet newspapers.
Overall, not worth the time investment if you are staying close to Budapest.
Crowded, with a very small cave section.

We read a lot of recent negative reviews of this place, but we decided to go anyway. So glad that we did, as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This time of year sees the outdoor baths and facilities closed, which wasn’t the focus of our visit. We arrived at about 10am and the place was almost empty, which made it all the more enjoyable.
As the morning wore on more people arrived, but I couldn’t say that it was crowded. As a couple in our 60’s we probably would have really disliked the baths if there were crowds visiting. I certainly wouldn’t be inclined to go in the peak of tourist season.
As other reviewers have said, there is little detailed information available that non-locals would like to have before attending. Like, take your own towels, wear flip flops (thongs for the aussies), your electronic wrist band give you access to the lockers, allow about 3 hrs for the cave baths alone and finally, just relax and enjoy.

The personal is rude. There was a big sign announcing the bath is opened until 6PM with last entry and cash-desk closure at 5PM. I was looking at the sign and standing in front of the cash-desk at 16:58 just before the closure, yet still on time. The cashier spoke little English and gave me only one word “closed”. When I looked at the sign and asked “closed”, she repeated “yes, closed” and shut down the rolletes. No trying to help quickly accomodate the guest, not even any apology. I lost one hour travelling there using their own time-schedule (a bit tight timing, but sometimes it is diffucult manage all activities). I could have spent that one our walking at the city center instead, if I knew.

When we bought our entry ticket, we specifically asked if it covered lockers, showers, etc.
They assured us ‘Yes of course’!
When we were done we asked for a towel. Suddenly you had to BUY one of their towels.
Kind of. a HUGE detail to omit!!
So we stood there dripping wet and asked if we could have a towel first so we could go get our wallet with our clothes upstairs in the locker.
PAY NOW! She barked!
We grabbed some paper towels from a supply cart and dried off S best as we could.
Obviously only locals go here and already know the insider knowledge that you have to bring your own towel. Their lack of information to outsiders and lack of any level of hospitality or customer service is a direct indication that they do not want you to visit if you are not from the area. Very nice spa otherwise but the experience was ruined

The bath is very special but our experience was ruined by the waiting time to find parking and pay. We had a group of tourists in front of us that added half hour to our time of buying the entrance tickets, no empty lockers that would work but plenty signs of the ones not working so we had to carry around our bags and clothes. The pools were busy and full of people, too noisy. We left after an hour as to get any drinks or food was also impossible. Avoid in the summer time and try a quieter period.

The caves are truly something to see; baths created into the deep caves of the mountains, but they must somehow prevent children from endlessly screaming.
We were expecting a calm and relaxing thermal bath, a place to bubble away all my worries; much like Szechenyi or Rudas in Budapest. However, what we got was a very loud and stressful few hours until the masses left.
The tunnels echo, crying babies in diapers were cute, and loud and the hordes of tourists were endless and it felt overcrowded.
Everyone seemed to disappear around 16:00 and then we got exactly what we came for. This is not a typical Roman bath experience because the waters have much less salt and you can bath for unlimited amounts of time, making this more children friendly.
Our children are 15 & 17 and liked the caves, but the loud noises even prevented them from going back through. We found some peace in the outdoor warm pool.
What got us through was Zip's beer, it did make things more bearable!
Rush times early afternoon, so I recommend to go late afternoon, more adult friendly...

If you dare to go there, don't forget to pack lunch, bring some cold drinks and a thermos with coffee. You won't buy any of these here. There are 2 buffets with luxury prices, but you must stand in line for an hour and wait for another to get your meal.
If you fancy an ice cream, you'll need cash, no credit card payment there.
Good luck to find a cabinet as well to pack your things.
So, the experience is very much like in the communist era of the eighties.
There are very few places to just sit as well, there are some wooden benches, the ones you see in parks, not in spas.
All in all, the cave bath worth a look, but go for the 4-hour ticket, you won't spend more time there anyways, and it is still a lot more expensive then its worth.
Oh and don't forget to pack.

It was a very hot day, so we wwre looking for a nice place to chill and cool down. The famous cave is an interesting place, but has little attractions if you are 12+. One jakuzi which is switched off 2 hours before closure, 2 overcrowded routes ib the cave. It is a good place for families with kids but boring for adults.

Very well made, clean and refreshing place. The cave spa is quite a unique phenomena which definitely worth a visit. Sauna, wellness, regular and thermal pools everywhere.
Bars and restaurants can be found inside with regular prices. There are also various children pools from age 0 to 10. If you are around, do not miss the place.

Работают ли пещерные купальни с с сентября по декабрь?
На каком расстоянии от центра города Мишкольца находятся купальни Мишкольц-Тапольцы? Если жилье в центре города, как добираться до купален?
Written October 20, 2018

Ciao!

Quindi senza problemi, e goditi i 10 giorni perché saranno bellissimi...
