The caves are truly something to see; baths created into the deep caves of the mountains, but they must somehow prevent children from endlessly screaming.

We were expecting a calm and relaxing thermal bath, a place to bubble away all my worries; much like Szechenyi or Rudas in Budapest. However, what we got was a very loud and stressful few hours until the masses left.

The tunnels echo, crying babies in diapers were cute, and loud and the hordes of tourists were endless and it felt overcrowded.

Everyone seemed to disappear around 16:00 and then we got exactly what we came for. This is not a typical Roman bath experience because the waters have much less salt and you can bath for unlimited amounts of time, making this more children friendly.

Our children are 15 & 17 and liked the caves, but the loud noises even prevented them from going back through. We found some peace in the outdoor warm pool.

What got us through was Zip's beer, it did make things more bearable!

Rush times early afternoon, so I recommend to go late afternoon, more adult friendly...

Very well made, clean and refreshing place. The cave spa is quite a unique phenomena which definitely worth a visit. Sauna, wellness, regular and thermal pools everywhere.
Bars and restaurants can be found inside with regular prices. There are also various children pools from age 0 to 10. If you are around, do not miss the place.

This thermal bath is remarkable in large part to its beautiful and unique cave environment. We visited on a weekend winter day.

The water itself is not too hot and the individual pools can get quite crowded. In particular the stand alone rectangular pools (outside the cave area) that were hot seemed VERY crowded and not very pleasant to stay in. Nevertheless, our family of five (three teenage boys) enjoyed exploring the complex and discovering the deep cave areas.

The dark doomed cave pool was awesome and possessed some cool acoustic qualities. Everything seemed clean and well looked after. We would return here again. It was fun.

Unique spa setup, literally in a cave system. Water is not very warm, around 30 C.
Saunas are hot. Outside snow was the icing on the cake.

Excellent experinence. Very good prices for entry. A lot of options - in summer outdoor pools are available. Indoor cave has plenty of space.

Food is adequate considering its a fastfood.

Visited 4 times and it is still very good and we are planning on visiting again.

The jacuzzi needs to be working more often.

Quite interesting to swim inside the caves. A nice place to visit during your stay in Miskolc. Don’t expect luxury, but you will enjoy the indoor/ cave pools. Outside no proper relaxing seats/ tents.

Had a great time at the cave bathes. The water was hot which was great for such a chilly morning. With the miskolc tourist pass card, entry was so easy. Roaming around in the caves discovering new water holes was fun. Great fun out.

Pro: unique cave pool system
Cons: actually no swimming pool, anything but not spa, most people don't use showers before entry to pools, disgusting mandatory usage of swimsuits in "sauna". why "sauna"? no sauna culture is present. just two cabins open. 85° and 80°C. Steam room with almost no steam. people from sauna jumping directly to a cooling pool (if 16°C is cooling). in one word: disgusting. I don't wanna come here again.

I used to visit this place often during my childhood and returned once a year since. This summer's visit was a shock! Thermal water pools were cold!!! Signs labelled as 35°C... complete joke!
Staff (especially the pensioners) are rude, could not smile and get angry when you have a question to them. Also they don't speak any second language. I do understand and experience this screen in Hungary that the people are depressed and unhappy! But come on, they are paid to provide service for the visitors!
I watched a Slovakian family asking for a toilet at the upstairs changing room and the old women did not allow the Slovakian boy to use the upstairs toilet as he was wearing flip flops?! Of course she was unable to directly speak with them I was embarrassed to translate that the family needs to go downstairs as this woman not letting the boy use the toilet due to her flip flops! (Which was inside . Swimming ones)

Toilets were not clean.
Not suitable for disabled people. It's 2018 ffs! This needs sorted asap! How awful!

All Lifeguards on duty just playing on their phones...

The person cleaning up the outside pool areas and grass didn't wear a uniform. Picked all rubbish up with his hands. First i though it was a homeless person... that is just one thing you don't provide uniform bit at least have a standard or some kind of expectations...

So upset to see this (once) gorgeous place go downhill...

This place once was my favourite. Now i will go to Demjen or Egerszalok even though its 50 mins more journey.

I’m so sorry to say that .. but it was one of my biggest delusions so far .
I went here 10 years ago remembering of what a beautiful ,relaxing and mesmerizing experience was .
Yesterday i figured out that everything has changed ..
Organization at its worse ..( but you can find it out in other comments ), cold water , infinite lines for food are nothing compared to the noise that you have to face .

It’ s quite incredible that you travel kilometers to relax .. and then you leave more stressed than before .
I didn’ remembered that this place was an aquapark for 4 years old childs , but for sure was my mistake to not figure it out before on the web site ..

I had neither one minute left for just standing and enjoying , as there was not even an angle where there was no kid splashing and screaming with their parents enjoying them but making videos of them not only in the cave , but even in the sauna world (which i paid extra cash , for two finn sauna btw ) ..

Just try to figure out screams and splash in a cave .. like 100 times louder ..
Absurd .

I’m just saying , we already know that the new generation of parents is lobotomized so i’m not going to complain about people behaviour with their childred..

but for gods sake .. there is TWO pools for kids ( empty ) , what about make people use them ?
If you know that people are here for enjoying the place , write some advise at list to make silence in the Cave ... or may put some lifeguard to at list try to ..

Otherwise , call the place “Babycave adventure” or something like that .

So in conclusion , i see a lot of complains about the place and i hope with all my heart that one day something changes , because it was one of an experience times ago .

But by far i’ ll never come back after this ..
