...but as I’m not one, I can’t really give it the full 5*. Still, the range of different places into which you can drop is very impressive and lots of them look very pretty indeed.

A busy place and that is for two reasons: (1) it is a beautiful location and (2) you can do some excellent wine shopping. Wine cellars are side by side. Pick one or two small business and have a go at getting yourself some good...More

It is worth getting the wee train/car thing up the hill to the Valley. But it just feels very touristy and a bit tacky. Worth seeing but don't hang about!

Pretty part of Eger and famous for the wines grown in the area. there are a few restaurants in this area and a visit here offers a diffferent side to the town from the castle, basilica and impressive buildings.

Lots of winery for you to taste samples. I think 16 winery within the beautiful valley. The short walking distance is pack with hotels, restaurants, cafe, gift shops and there was a musician playing in the square when we were there on Bank holiday Monday....More

Well there are heaps of wine tasting outlets. This must be appalling when there are lots of people there. Drink the wine in town, better views, less drunk nutters

Visited on a rainy day early May. Didn't think we would spend much time there but turned into the highlight of our holiday. Some great wines at Petreny and we were paying around £2 a glass. As you move on to some of the other...More

The place is a lot of sellers selling wines, you can drink a lot of Hungarian wines in there. Nice atmosphere. Make sure you have enough time to visit!

Basically, they'll take anybody, anytime. Business is business and most of the time they're glad for any they can get. You won't be turned away.
