Neighborhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Asztec room

We went here as a couple so just two people. Getting the booking done was already the first hurdle but we managed by calling.

The rooms itself were nicely but very sparsely furnished and decorated. Didn’t really have a certain feel to it or anything. Only those things that were required for the game were in it so it looked rather empty.

The riddles themselves were ok but not particularly challenging in a sense that it needed creativity to solve them. It was more like a string of small, non-connected riddles as you could find in any riddle-magazine. Only one or two riddles needed some thinking on our part but not because they were well thought through but rather because they were a little twisted. Still nothing special tho. There was also one task that we completed correctly according to the hint but the hint was a little off so we had to use help in that one.

So all in all it was ok but were not going back there again for other rooms. Would recommend different places instead

Excellent rooms despite small hicups

Visited two rooms here, Japanese Journey and Legend of the Aztecs. Both had strong themes and beautiful decorations. Puzzles were clever, with some exceptions which almost every escape room seems to have. The experience as a whole was really good and we felt challenged and rewarded at the same time.

As feedback to the owner: it might be worth to reduce the complexity of the main mission of the Japanese Journey, there were little bit too many moving parts to track.

Good room, but big problems with the staff

We've visited quite a lot escape rooms in Budapest and this one was okay, but the instructor was terrible. She couldn't help with the riddles and it took 5+ mins to answer us in the room. At the end she couldn't help with the last riddle, saying that she always forgets that. It OK if you don't need help otherwise unacceptable.

I went to this place at the invitation of friends, unprepared and not expecting too much. The quest itself was ranked as average on difficulty scale (three starts out of five). Yet, I was a bit dissapointed in myself since it was pretty difficult for me. Well, my disappointment doesn't mean anything in terms of the quality.
In general, I liked it, the guys (my company) were great in solving the tasks. I can recommend it indeed.
The only comment - I found the light inside the first room too gloomy and I thought it hindered me in finding the objects; and, please, check the locks, I had an impression that some of them were stuck, perhaps, because they were used too many times.

We tried the Aztec room. The decoration was awesome, and the difficulty was just fine. We really enjoyed it, and think it was worth trying.

We played more then 20 games, these was the worst. Game instructor didn't speak about more than 15minutes, one riddle almost solved, no hints. We can't recommend it. No introduction, nothing... Very disappointing.

Great game

This is not a room for beginners - you have to have at least some expiriance with the game to really enjoy this one, probably not suitable for younger children. I would also advise to go as a small group - 2 players are probably the best, 3 are the maxcimum. The puzzle are quit unique and some of them are difficult. My only complaint is that some of the puzzles require guessing and not so clear.

The owner is very nice, you get a brilliant customer service (there is tea, water, candy for free).
We played the Japanese Story that was very good with lots of small puzzles and one side quest. The place is very clean and although it's a cellar the air is good and clean.

I would definitely recommend this place!
