A nice escape room located not far from Oktogon so both Deák Ferenc Tér and Oktogon is in walking distance meaning all public transport will get you there with a max of 5 min walking distance from public transport.
The rooms are insanely cool definitely higher quality than most escape rooms . The design and scenery is top notch and all 5 rooms are different enough to warrant multiple games.
Roxfort is the easiest which are good for families.
Mayan is my favourite with its jungle theme.
The submarine is excellent interior with cool feeling.
Egyptian is a bit stereotypical setting with pyramids, sand and pharaos
Alien is very good difficulty wise.
Had a nice time unfortunately finished with all rooms there. Recommended.

This was my first actual escape room experience and we had a really fun and exciting time,
even though we missed the mark by a few minutes.
The staff was also very helpful with hints and we joked a lot.
The rooms took between 1 and 2 hours with 4 people and looked fantastic on the iniside.
Overall a very entertaining evening and I'd definitely recommend to check it out, if you are in Budapest.

We tried the night in the Egyptian museum room, it was our first time trying an escape room and it was so much fun and the setup of the room was very interesting. Time flew by so fast and we enjoyed it so much we had to try another round in the secret of the depth! I would say the medium difficulty was perfect even for us complete beginners. Will definitely have to try some other rooms one day!

We visited the Nautilus room. The game and the design was amazing! The design is really well done! The visuality of the marine was excatly like a real marine. The whole logical steps during the game were hard and thinking back, the help of the game master was very helpful. But we stand for a good ordeal!

We played this room with my friends, everyone was somewhat experienced. The decor was okay, the tasks were party repetitive, partly not logical at all. You had to use the same decoding for multiple tasks, it was very time-consuming and got a bit boring after a while. Also there was an annoying red herring in the room, we lost a bit of time there but we managed to escape in time. The game master was okay, she didn't speak a very good English or was very enthusiastic. Se didn't offer to take a picture after.

Dear vanmar90,
We're proud of the way we decorate and plan our rooms but of course, it's quite difficult to live up to the standards of each individual. We're happy to receive any tips on how we could make our rooms more appealing through comments here, or via e-mail (mysterygames2015@gmail.com). Indeed, the players need to be able to think of using the knowledge they have previously gained in the room one (1) time, but with all kindest regards, we're not sure that titling that repetitive serves it right. What's logical and what's not is quite subjective, so is experience; so for a 'somewhat experienced' group it might be logical to not start with our hardest room.
Since English is not the mother tounge of neither of our game masters, we kindly ask for the patience of our guests. We apologize for forgetting to ask for taking your picture, next time please don't hesitate to communicate your needs with us!
Best regards,
MysteryCrew

Complete beginner group of friends of 4, it was an incredible experience and the puzzles were a good level of challenging! We first tried night in the museum and then we attempted the submarine, both medium difficultly and great fun. It made us work together as a team to do more than 2 things at the same time snd communicate to solve problems and puzzles. Loved the experience! Will be back again for the hardest one!

We are a team of 4 players with 26 rooms played in Budapest and more than 60 rooms world-wide. Here, we played the room "secret of the depth". This is definitively the worst room in Budapest.
Some tasks can be done out or order. One electrical gadget did not work. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out our next step. This also showed that the game master was not monitoring us and did not care. Finally when we gave up and asked for a hint, the game master said it can happen "sometimes".
The immersion is broken by large holes in a see-through aquarium that carry sound from the reception area. We could not hear each other inside the room from the noise of other teams at the reception.
Almost all tasks provide absolutely no feedback when done correctly and the end is maximally anti-climactic. Neither we nor the game master knew that we have actually completed the room.

We played 8 Budapest rooms in the last 48 hours and Secret of the Depth room from MysteryGames is definitely one of the best we have played. The place looks very cool and the puzzles have good difficulty - not extremly hard and far from boring. Great for more experienced players. The whole escape room looked really realistic with a lot of details.

Alien Room - quite difficult for newbies, but overall exciting, amazing set and quality props. Great for experienced players.
It would be a bit better with a non-linear game plan, so not everyone has to work on the same thing at a time.

A magical place! At night, we visited the Egyptian museum and the Maya empire rooms and had a wonderful experience. The game master is very nice and the rooms were amazingly imaginative and adventurous. And socks (dog) are super cute, we hope to see you again next time!:)
