The place is impressive but do not expect great coffee or cakes. I recommend to have a glimpse only. There are nice places in Budapest with far better coffee and definitely better cakes and pastries.

From the front and even when you go inside at the ground floor you do not expect what you find inside. The room is simply stunning and completely out of place with the rest of the building. Friendly staff, great coffee and delicious cakes make...More

The café had been run by a big book store for years and was then closed until a year ago. So, feel free to drop by for a coffee, it's worth the visit. I feel a bit sad about the surrounding arrangement of the building...More

tried going here on a Sunday morning and found it packed with a very long brunch queue. Had a look in however and the decor was impressive. The art and the work was stunning. Highly recommend to visit if possible.

We were on a foodie tour in Budapest last week and our guide took us into this very sleek bookshop within an exceptional building but the real surprise came on going up the escalator into a wonderful cafe. An absolute must!

The last time i had hot chocolate like this i was on Oxford Street, London. This place is exceptional and well worth the visit. Go in the book shop and you'll see escalators that take you up to the ballroom.

The best chocolate a decent coffee, beautiful interior and polite waiter and on top of that you have a bookstore next to. We have been there twice already and hope to come back. Don't tell your friends you might not get a seat yourself.
