If you like live rock music this is your place. Small friendly place with Hungarian and international club concerts. Really nice staff, cheap drinks. Try the 50% Macum! It really works... :)

Remek hely, kitűnő csapat, jó koncertek és bulik, kedvező árak! Az ott dolgozók mindig mosolyognak, kacagnak és biztosítják a hangulatot. Érezni a szeretetet.
Bármelyik zenekarommal járunk ott koncertet adni, mindig egyforma bánást kapunk, és jókat röhögünk! Ha Budapesten jársz, és egy jót akarsz bulizni, keresd fel a helyet, megéri!

Great place, wonderful team, super concerts and parties, affordable prices! The staff is always smiling, laughing and having a good time. You can feel the love. I have played there on several occassions with three of my bands, and they all get equal attention and love, and we always have a great laugh! If you are in Budapest and looking for a good time: Backstage Pub is a MUST!

This place advertises itself as a 50s retro bar with live music, so we popped in for a drink.
The bouncer grunted and pointed to two women, one of whom said we had to buy tickets as there was a band on. No smiles, no welcome, only a look that told us they’d rather we weren’t there. We said we’d just have a drink and she grudgingly pointed to the bar. We listened to the band from the adjacent room - fairly good with a local following.
The bar staff were fine but the place isn’t 50s retro at all, more like 80s.
I have no intention to return after the attitude on the door. There are many more friendlier bars in Budapest.
