We came to the show with a fear of seeing animal abuse - luckily there was only one show with dogs and they got lots of sweets while doing the stunts (it made us realize they were positively trained). The show lasts two hours with a short break in the middle and was in the Hungarian language, but (!!!) It really didn’t stop the kids (and us) from being mesmerized throughout (our kids are 8, 6 and almost 2 years old). From our places they looked great and it seems to be the case from everywhere in the hall. We highly recommend watching the show!

We are both in our thirties and couldn't stop laughing all day. Seriously funny show. The tickets were a true steal at 500 ft. Even if you only have two or three days in Budapest - go there - you will not be disappointed.

Bought tickets an hour before and there were no premium seats left but ended up with a perfectly good view in a second class one. The acts are from around the world and most were enjoyable and interesting to watch- favourites being trapeze and a hoop act. The small girl group used as an intermediate between acts is terrible with six girls dressed in capes dancing badly to songs - not exactly class circus material. Was disappointed to see horses used in two acts, even though I know they will be well loved I do not think it is necessary for animals to still be used in circuses. Show was long but overall I enjoyed it and the variety of acts.

Booked tickets for the circus was lucky I booked them the day before I wanted to go as was pretty fully booked. Great value for money and the acts were must see acts all brilliant. They do still do animal acts but was only horses and they looked very well looked after. Also food and drink in the circus is also cheap so cant complain all round great show

If you go in winter, they won't bring up any wild animals so don't worry about that. A very cool show and it keeps you excited during the whole time, which I am saying is 2 hours.
It accomodates the kids as well since they included tiny drama in between performances and will interact with them at the lower level.
I bought the ticket on the official website and it is quite cheap to be honest.

Absolutely fantastic show and although spoken it Hungarian we manged to follow the story line. Not a bad act and the clowns were brilliant - so funny. The best we have ever seen. Would recommend!

The decision to come there was mostly because it is close to the zoo. We did not regret. Except for the confusion with places ( circus staff showed us our seats wrongly and we were asked to leave them by guests who actually owned the places and were late - which turned out better for us, since we had to move to empty places from higher category as guided by another employee) all the rest experience was positive. Initially we bought the 5 eur tickets, and the show is well visible from all the sides since it is a standart size circus, so if in doubt if you like it, just take the cheapest. It is also close to the park and castle, so many things can be seen on one day there

Called "Nagy Cirkusz" on the building, this event was a real treat. The current show is called "Flying Circus" and runs through 8 Sept. The venue is completely air-conditioned, keeping us comfortable throughout, even on a hot summer day.

We booked ahead directly through their website--very user friendly, complete with seating chart. We chose section 10, balcony, which were perfect seats, comfortable with a great view. To be frank, though, there probably isn't a bad seat in this relatively small arena. The spacious seating is adequately tiered. The round stage is used so that all seats have a good view. The balcony does have the slight advantage of putting aerial acts right at eye-level. Do note there is a live orchestra playing just at the opening where the acts come on ("zenekar"), so seating sections 1 and 4 (stage level) and 5 and 14 (balcony) could be a bit loud.

The show itself was phenomenal. The acts were varied and well paced so that there was a good balance of laughs, gasps, and clap-alongs. The flying theme was well incorporated throughout. The live music was a treat. The ringmaster spoke in Hungarian, as did the clown act (though not dressed as traditional clowns), most of the time, but there was enough English and context to be easily understood. The acrobats and trapeze artists were amazing. (Though I wish they'd use a net!) The song and dance routines were fun. The flying model plane was uniquely beautiful. The costumes and choreography throughout were to a very high standard. Everyone in our party of 5 adults enjoyed the entire show, which was 2 hours with a short intermission.

The building's foyer is a bit worn and could do with an update. Likewise, the toilets could be expanded to better handle the crowds. But that is probably just a budget issue, not a lack of caring. I appreciate that the circus providers do not push pricey merchandise and that the ticket prices are very reasonable. I imagine that the emphasis is simply kept on the show itself, which is quite professional. Still, the spectator's experience should begin when he walks in the front door. And such star performers deserve a sparkling venue throughout. They were truly sensational.

Would highly recommend the Capital Circus--a feel good show for all ages!
