Bought tickets an hour before and there were no premium seats left but ended up with a perfectly good view in a second class one. The acts are from around the world and most were enjoyable and interesting to watch- favourites being trapeze and a hoop act. The small girl group used as an intermediate between acts is terrible with six girls dressed in capes dancing badly to songs - not exactly class circus material. Was disappointed to see horses used in two acts, even though I know they will be well loved I do not think it is necessary for animals to still be used in circuses. Show was long but overall I enjoyed it and the variety of acts.

We saw the show "Rain". The sound system was painfully loud. I feel sorry for the children in the audience. They will get permanent hearing damage for sure, after being exposed to this for 2 hours. It is too bad that this place is trying to replace traditional circus entertainment with deafening noise and a boring laser show. I guess noise and lights are much cheaper to produce.

There are different shows present in this place. Before you go you should check their website to see the time and dates of performance. I had seen a wonderful show last week (Spirit-of-Steppe). It was a solid show, with great laser lighting and life music and singer which made a exciting atmosphere. It is good place to spend time with family. We had a great time.

We went for the RAIN show in May. Excellent show!! Small place so if I had to go again I wouldn’t get seats in the front row. 4th or 5th row is probably better.
My 8yo really enjoyed. There were some kids age 5-6 who couldn’t stop laughing all around us. As well as older teens - EVERYONE enjoyed the show.

Very nice show, the horses and elephant is a sad part, you can see the animals are scared and they are being hit rapidly by the trainer..

We considered a good chance to spend a whole day for our son in Budapest thus after Zoo we visited the Circus.
We had booked our tickets prior arriving Budapest (from internet) and we had 10% discount.
Specific Circus is not only for kids, is also for adults, we laugh a lot as there are artist presenting their show from all around the world.
We spend a nice relaxing afternoon making our son happy.

Impossible to park at the place for about 30 minutes. The whole building is an old, left-alone-for-decades kind of a stuff. The personnel is a joke. No languages, no greetings, no smiling. At the buffet you can buy truly the most unhealthy old school things for your children, for the triple price of normal.

Chairs, other furnitre, WC-s and all equipment in the building are remedies from the '70s. The spirit of the place is the old communist unfriendly atmosphere, but the prices are unbelievable.

Avoid if possible.

Röviden, magyarul: Az egész hely egy gyalázat. Parkolni lehetetlen, a hely maga kb a 70-es évek óta felújítás nélkül áll. Barátságtalan, undok, semmilyen nyelven nem beszélő személyzet. A büfé felháborító, a legundorítóbb, legegészségtelenebb termékek arcátlan árakon, a piaci árak háromszorosáért. A WC ocsmány, az egész hely atmoszférája vállalhatatlan, az árak nevetségesek. Klasszikus kommunista idők maradéka sajnos az egész, ahogy van.

Elkerülni, bármi áron.

The show is about two and a half ours long (a little bit too long IMO). The performances were mostly acrobatics/balancing/trapeze acts - some of which were very impressive.

A few animal acts (horses, dogs) were less impressive. It was a bit of a stretch for the kids - some clown/magic acts would have certainly helped.

There are several types of seats - the regular ones are padded and go for ~ 3000 HUF, while the budget ones for for only 1000 HUF - an amazing price.

Having said that, the regular seats are padded - the budget seats are rigid wood - I think I know where Wizzair and Rynair took their seat design from :-).

Easy to buy tickets online - we turned up with a code and got our tickets (well, a small printed receipt with details) in an envelope at the counter there.

TIPS
1. Buy online - it's painless and you can see exactly where you're seated
2. If getting a budget seat, bring something to sit on....
3. If getting a budget seat, avoid the lower ones near the railing - sometimes performers would stand on a platform below (not really part of the main act) and would block our view of the main act
4. The concession stand was poor - if you want something to eat or drink bring it with you...
5. With small kids I'd recommend leaving during the intermission, especially if you take in the 7 pm show

We showed up 5 minutes before a 3pm Sat performance and bought Premium Seats without problem. They weren’t expensive but I’d say seats anywhere will give you a good view if you’re on a budget.

The permanent “tent” is very cool as is having a live band accompany the acts. The only animals in the show were a poodle troop, which I think is fine. Apart from that there was a radio control plane act, and an assortment of acrobats and trapeze acts. The clowns speak Hungarian but it’s easy enough to follow what’s happening without understanding what they’re saying.

I believe this circus is over 130 years so is something of a Budapest institution. It certainly feels like an authentic local experience rather than a tourist contrivance. I’m pretty sure most of the crowd were Hungarian families. If you’re in Budapest and like circus I’d recommend.

Went here with my kids (16, 14, 8,8). We saw a few good circuses in our life and actually came here ready to be dissapointed. But what a surprise!!!!
Although not the most amazing acrobatics we saw, we had a great time. The fact it is on ice is a refreshing change and the place isnt big so you actualy feel really close to the action. The tickets are a bargain. If youre in Budapest with kids, dont miss it
